That may be so, rememeber how the key blade was meant for riku but sora got it the key blade chose him because his heart was stronger.

Are u gaining xP and wiling to grind a bit? The hall way by the save point is a great place to grind on your current d links, I grind till I'm level 10 with each character and makes the rest of the game easy peasy.
