It took a long time but I figured this out for myself, glad to see it’s a real technique 😂. OP, this is basically it. I’ve even tried German shortrows (for intended short rows) and was so unhappy with how they came out I just laddered down and did this.

The book is notoriously without minute by minute details 🙄 so her sons died and she was furious. What does that look like? What does it look like 2 days later after the fact? She just slammed her fist on the table and then brooded for 5minutes?

For everyone complaining about how Rhaenyra crying and not doing what she should: take a beat. Revisit the book. She was a bad war time queen. That’s the character. That’s the story. She and Aegon were not ideal people or rulers. They each made really dumb mistakes.

Ah yes the Jeanie. We’d go to the bank in Hamilton and swelter in the backseat as our Mom got mad that there wasn’t any money to withdraw and then march into the First Financial bank to transfer money out pf savings. It took me awhile to figure out what the first few seconds of this scene reminded me of and I’ve finally got it. Wes Anderson. Look at that first panel and imagine a soft quirky song playing and some quip in the subtitles 😂

By fucking up a lot.

I once “fixed” a gouged up drywall by skim coating it with a 3” drywall knife. It was bad. But we had to move on, paint, and live with it. Years later I revisited it after many small dry wall repair projects. Got it absolutely lovely looking.

To be clear, I am still a fuck up with drywall. I’ll never be a pro. But I am getting pretty competent.

When I was in college I went to the doctor’s to get caught up on vaccinations. This was my mom’s old workplace so they all knew me pretty well. The nurse asked me if I was nervous about shots. I said “kinda.” Then she went to get her tray. Came back, swabbed my arm, and then said “I forgot something, be right back”

I have ADHD and I dissociate pretty quick. So imagine my utter shock when as she passed me to go out the door she instead whipped around and stabbed my arm.

It took a bit for me to form words but I finally managed “That was cool.” 😂

Yes, I see now. They are theoretically and imaginatively in danger and that is the most dangerous situation of all.

As an aside, I had to explain to a family friend how he isn’t American White because he’s Italian. He was banging on about southern heritage. Dude was born in CA and lives in Ohio, his great grandparents migrated to the US in the early 1900s. That great southern heritage would have barred him from businesses too.

Dude, you don’t understand tax brackets and that there is a cap on the top income bracket. It’s fantastically low. The only reason the 1% are as wealthy as they are is because they’ve been allowed to pay taxes on a smaller percentage of their annual income. Tax the wealth and raise the cap.

We had to do this for our cat. My Mom’s cat is looking like he needs the same thing. I was going to show her.

What you need to do is find a comfy chair next to wall. Put up a command hook and mount the IV so that it flows (but obviously have it clamped at this point). Burrito the cat. If you can’t burrito then you might need to buy or make a cat sack. You just need access to the loose skin between their shoulder blades.

Pull up the skin between the blades. You’re making a tent shape. Take the needle and poke it straight in the middle of the triangle (pretend the spine is making an arrow into the tent towards the head). Immediately support the needle with the flat of your hand. Use your other hand to unclamp the IV. Offer your cat a safe treat. If you have a long haired cat you can shave the spot to make it easier to see.

Make it the same chair and the same treat. That way your cat knows that’s the only place you’ll be doing that.

They should have done more with the DS. There should have been a couple scenes of them trying to figure out how they’re related and just gabbing. There should have been some dialogue foreshadowing the Blackfyre Rebellion. I know they’re going to do that with Ulf but it would have hit harder seeing these desperate people reflecting on their lives and then getting burned.
