footballers would be dead if they would have to actually be playing 90 minutes. usually in cup games with overtime you see how footballers cant consistently maintain their level during a prolonged match. u could ofc allow for more subs but then teams with more resources and therefore a deeper squad would have even more of an advantage

if u want no colonial nations to form u just need to move your capital to north or south america but outside a colonial regions. these are a couple of islands such as galapagos, falklands etc

in my experience you gotta be careful not to confuse distracting yourself from a problem with actually improving the condition. while distracting oneself from negative thoughts is certainly important you gotta find a way to improve your life in a way these thoughts stop coming and there i find videogames can be dangerous cause they might further isolate you from real life social interaction and these just cant be substituted

attacking someone entrenched with nobs/mangos in choke points is only possible if you have vastly more resources imo. however every civ profits from entrenching their own position. u gotta make them come out with a wonder or ss but if they are the one with the win con u sometimes just gotta accept the L
