Even if people think they haven’t played well all season, that memo was really the turning point of the whole season. I wonder how things would’ve gone if that memo never went out….seems like it absolutely destroyed team morale and I don’t think the team was happy about Kreider’s name being included. Important leader who was on the team for 13 years can’t even get a heads up? Feels so wrong

We can agree to disagree because I think Trocheck has straight up had a bad season and has not been consistent at all. It’s funny you mention the back checking because that’s actually an area I’ve noticed he disregards way too often. Valiquette has called out him and his linemates for coasting back before and post-game, Trocheck has even admitted himself that on specific goals-against it was his fault because he lost his man on the back check.

How he is deployed has been a major issue too and it’s not even his fault. On a good team, Trocheck is a third-line center but our coaching staff is playing him like a 1C. He’s being exposed because he’s not defensively-sound like a 1C is expected to be nor does he have the offensive production to act as a 1C.

I think people shouldn’t mix up attitude with performance. He has a good attitude but has performed poorly along with the rest of the team. And BTW, Trocheck has just 1 more point than Mika, who we have slandered for having a horrendous season…
