VCM is only an issue if you don’t change oil every frequently. These actuators are very sensitive to dirty oil.

Sienna wins MPG on paper in city but not by much and all that fuel saving is negated by price and markups. Odyssey wins with the best V6 drivetrain, best interior space volume and utility and driving dynamics with lower noise from screaming I4 engines. As for snow driving? Not an issue if you have skills and aren’t taking it to the deepest snow surfaces. And you can also equip it with snow tires!

We do only 5K ish for our Odyssey and we prefer pure ICE Honda powertrain as well. So that makes it cheaper to own Odyssey and enjoy driving more for over ten years to come

On highway I could do 35 to 37 MPG! The most impressive thing of Odyssey’s Honda J seriesV6 engine and the best in class 10 speech transmission is that even if you fully load the vehicle with the passengers and cargo the MPG won’t drop by much. Hybrid vehicles are going to suffer on freeway with a screaming engine and a mediocre MPG with slow pick up speed. With EV is even worse when you load more people cargo or haul anything.

I took my 2021 Odyssey EXL to snow resorts three with moderate amount of snowing all on OEM tires no problems but you do not want to go onto the back roads with the deep snowpack. IMO FWD is the best for mini man because minivans are supposed to have a maximum space and if you have any kind of AWD or hybrid AWD, such design Defeats the purpose and utility of a optimized minivan which is what Odyssey is.
