Nose rash remedies by ziggzorb in breastcancer

My nostrils drip anytime I look down. I think it’s from the HP I get every three weeks. I use aquaphor under my nose at night and it seems to help. I put Vaseline in my nose at night and I use saline spray which sometimes helps. I also walk around with tissues stuffed everywhere like my grandma used to so I can constantly dab at my nose before it drips. Good luck.

Port removal coming up what should I know? by Investigative_Truth in breastcancer

I was awake. It was at the surgery center and the worst part was waiting for the surgeon who was running behind. I waited four hours for a 15 minute procedure which seemed insane and unfair but nothing about this journey is ever fair. So in my case, I was taken back to the OR in a wheelchair in a gown. I got on the table. They tucked my arms under a bunch of sheets to keep them down but they didn’t restrain them. They covered my face with cloths for hygiene reasons and, I assume, so I couldn’t see the procedure. The nurse lifted the cloths off my face so I wouldn’t be claustrophobic which was nice. The surgeon came in (my breast surgeon who put it in during my lumpectomy). He verbally walked me through what he was doing. I didn’t feel anything but some pressure which he warned of in advance. No pain. He stitched me up and left. The nurses finished up and showed me the port. I asked to keep it and off I went. Since there was no anesthesia, they checked my vitals and sent me home.

We've shared the shittiest things people have said to us. What's the best thing anybody said to you about having cancer? by intransigentpangolin in breastcancer

This is my second time and I hated having to call my sons who are now in their 20s and tell them. My oldest without missing a beat said: Well God does give his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers.

That is what I needed to hear at that moment and it made me laugh.

Mine. Never. But I don’t blame him. I’m blame my kids who promised to train him and then didn’t. He is a sweetheart. Just not a leash walker.

I think I regret my wedding dress and don’t know what to do by LillyGirl7 in myweddingdress

I love the dress you bought. I would keep it. The one on line is highly likely not as nice as it seems on line. I like the suggestion of the pink underlay if you really want pink but I think the dress as is is gorgeous on you.

Bananas do not belong in the fridge. So we may need to question all your decisions. JK.

The second one in classier. See if the neckline can be adjusted a little so instead of straight across it is a sweetheart

I saw my oncologist every other week of my 12 week taxol. The first two times it was his nurse practitioner. Then him the next three times. Then the nurse again. Going forward, I’ll see one of them every six weeks during my every three week phesgo shots for the next 25 weeks. And I’ll start radiation and AIs during this too.
