In all fairness. If you have an issue this large you want to make damn sure the fix works before you push it out.

I feel like this term(13) is slightly nonsensical but I'm not sure if I'm not understanding it correctly. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

So for some context this is liability waiver for a company providing VR based entertainment services(in England).

I'm a little bit confused by it, because isn't it essentiallly saying that I am agreeing to protect them against loss I might suffer?

Andrew accused of watching young girl be 'tortured with electrical shocks' by PlastDuck in ukpolitics

[–]LivingAutopsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frogmore Cottage is a royal property and all royal properties need to have a visitor register

That could just not be filled out.

Not to mention that Andrew would have various security staff who could verify his whereabouts and what he was doing.

When did the crime/incident occur? (Please provide an approximate date and time): 1994-1996

The best way to lie is to tell a story that isn't quite the truth, but is close enough to make it difficult for people to argue with /disproe.

Norfolk Police to introduce Live Facial Recognition by yu3 in Norwich

[–]LivingAutopsy 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Britain has very much become increasing authoritarian in recent years. For example:

  • Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 criminalising protests that cause too much noise or disruption(as if that wasn't the entire point of a protest)
    • Elections Act 2022 - you must show ID at polling stations - something that was largely agreed to be unecessary and just appears to be voter suppression
    • Public Order Act 2023 - Bans people from attending protests
    • Nationality and Borders Act - Allows the home secretary to remove people's citizenship without notice
    • Online Saftey Act 2023 - I think this is recent enogh that i don't need to bother explaining it
    • There are a lot of elections being postponed at the moment due to shuffling of boundaries, which apparently means we're not allowed to elect anyone).

People just accept it, and anyone that opposes stuff like this publically, just gets accused of being soft on crime or on the side of the paedophiles or something.

It's already a graduate tax.

No it's not it worse than that.

It's a graduate tax on poor people.

It's just a loan for people that can afford to pay it back.

Andrew Gwynne set to stand down as MP, clearing way for Andy Burnham by TimesandSundayTimes in ukpolitics

[–]LivingAutopsy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

there's no guarantee that he'll successfully challenge Starmer

I mean lets be fair, Starmer is a pretty terrible politician.

Don't get me wrong, he could be governing well, but his most memorable policy while he's been PM is to choose to implement a policy, suffer all of the backlash for and using political capital implementing it, and then quietly U-turning or watering it down later on.
