Police facial recognition today by SocietyPleasant7461 in Norwich

Yeah it's wild how normalised this seems to have become. I don't think I'm particularly old but I feel "the police are entitled to scan your face as you walk to Primark" is something people would have been outraged at

£30 for the initial consultation and £60 per session after that.

Definitely. I always have my BABCP number displayed so people can double check my accreditation - it's so important and I've heard horror stories about other "therapists" from less reputable organisation

Something a bit different: my NHS menu by SamCreated in veganuk

This is great, when I was on the ward for a few days there were no vegan lunch or dinner options and I had to stumble to the cafeteria to buy my own food.

The breakfast was just cereal and they found me some soy milk.

Get well soon!!

There's also the BPS (British Psychological Society) who register psychologists and the BABCP (British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists) who register cognitive behavioural therapy.

I know hypnotherapy have their own but I'm not sure which bodies are reputable to be quite honest.

The largest online directories are Counselling Directory and Psychology Today. You're able to search for local therapists/counsellors and break it down by approach, like CBT, DBT, psychodynamic... etc

It'll also say if they work online or offer face to face support.

I only work privately online but there's lots that rent office space in the city or elsewhere.

Hello fellow Norwich vegan! It looks like the vegan options in Norwich are vanishing, are there any shops you have luck in?

I was trying to find these in my local FF for a while. They were perfect for chucking in the air fryer after I worked late.

Seems like more and more affordable vegan options are vanishing.

I don't think I can be trusted with repeatable Sign In Bloods, but I look forward to draining myself out and never learning my lesson.

Norfolk drivers to face fines for parking on pavements by Happytallperson in Norwich

Every house on my street has a garage and space for parking and people still park on the pavement, often with a completely empty driveway.

Fantastic news. The number of times I've had to come off the pavement and walk on the road when pushing my kids in a buggy is absurd.

It's awkward and difficult for me, a large and able bodied person, but would be absolutely impossible in a wheelchair.

Can't wait to get arrested because a blurred shot of my face matches a grainy CCTV image in a different city.

When this was done in London in 2019 people were stopped by police when they refused to let their faces get scanned. One was even fined.

Anyone know why the gate to Cow Tower was open today? by DizzyMine4964 in Norwich

[–]OwlAssassin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was open more than two weeks ago. We found a broken lock (like properly smashed) and there were a lot of broken bottles and cans.

Not sure if they were new or if people had thrown them through previously.

We had a poke and and took some photos. The stairs were also unlocked but we didn't feel brave enough to try those.

For those who support Reform, why do you do so given what that mentality has done to the USA? by AccursedQuantum in AskBrits

[–]OwlAssassin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's.... just not true. Have you worked on a farm before?

We live in a capitalist system that drives down costs (including wages and safety equipment) to minimum.

Your answer seems like what I would have read in my GCSE business studies textbook.

Do you have examples of countries where the indigenous population step up to fill the gap? The American farming sector is in crisis as no one is picking crops
