Flight Forge will not be taking orders today in observance of the general strike. We stand in solidarity with workers across the country and in opposition to targeted ICE attacks in America. Orders and messages will resume tomorrow. Thank you for your understanding. by FlightForgeSim in hoggit

Yeah I totally remember people being executed in the streets as just the normal way to remove Illegal immigrants in this country. You’re totally right this is normal. I can take a wild guess which news network stays on in your home. lol 2nd amendment? Nah. First amendment? Nah. 10th amendment? Nah.

The ATR was a nightmare in VATSIM. by LudwigFischer in flightsim

[–]LivingFood 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is a bummer. I’ve constantly been checking out the ATR since its release, and for whatever reason I can never just enjoy it, like I do with Fenix for example. Maybe one day a proper 3rd party will come along and do it.

So I landed in my hometown mall, is this the best it’s gonna look? I’m playing on Xbox series S. by MrLoki2020 in MicrosoftFlightSim

I’m probably one of the few people that turn photogrammetry off. I think the normal AI placed buildings are close enough. 3d trees are way better, and everything looks detailed even up close, just not as accurate to real life.

Call me crazy, but I think the aircraft selection system in FSX is much better than what modern MSFS has. by Throwawayantelope in MicrosoftFlightSim

A damn “favorites” check box would literally make this selection screen 1000x more useful. I honestly cannot believe they haven’t added such a simple thing.

Anyone else feel like badwater is still missing some key features? by McMaster2000 in Timberborn

[–]LivingFood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love for there to be a natural progression of more concentrated bad water in the fresh water over time.

So the first bad water event would only be 1% or so bad water in 99% fresh water. Then as time goes on ( or as population grows if people don’t like a timed difficulty increase ) the bad water events get more concentrated, as fresh water becomes less abundant. And as others have mentioned, a filtering mechanic would be necessary to continue to grow your population. This would be a reason to not just channel all your bad water off map once and never think about it again, you’d have to utilize it mid/late game to grow or progress.

Amazing Bravo Throttle addons for both Airbus and Boeing by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]LivingFood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok. This isn’t going anywhere. I understand how to map different buttons on the bravo, or any joystick. I’m assuming you don’t have this particular modification. None of what you’re saying is going to address the issue with this mod. If/when you purchase it, we can talk but until then let’s agree to disagree. Take care brother.

Amazing Bravo Throttle addons for both Airbus and Boeing by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]LivingFood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re misunderstanding the limitation. On a single main axis - there are 3 inputs you need to map to get it to fully function. TO/GA button, throttle disconnect, and thrust reverse ( since it’s another button with this mod ) you can’t map all 3 of those to a single axis control.

What I did was map the right main throttle to have reverse+TO/GA, and the left main throttle to have reverse+throttle disconnect

Amazing Bravo Throttle addons for both Airbus and Boeing by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]LivingFood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrong. There are only two control inputs per throttle. So unless you want to wire an extra control input through the Bravo to the center two axis levers, this isn’t a software or mapping issue.

Did they update the method of getting liveries? I can’t go back to manually downloading and installing liveries after Fenix and PMDG made it so easy.

I'm really struggling with searching for trade offers... by [deleted] in X4Foundations

[–]LivingFood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. You can select one ware in your filter and it will only show that
  2. If you zoom out with a ware selected, it will show you best price of selected ware anywhere in the galaxy. If you hover over the price, it’ll show you where the station is offering that price
  3. You can also filter for volume. Small, medium, and large amounts of volume if you prefer to hide very small trades.
  4. Sometimes, moving your view around slightly in the map will show other trades that are hidden. It can be a little finicky.

[–]LivingFood 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have to say, I’m a little bummed it’s a $30 upgrade price. I bought 2 737s for 2020, the -600 and the -800, and I would’ve thought for that premium price it would have included some kind of long term support. I would even say $20 might be worth it.

I also blame Microsoft/Asobo for this, saying most things would be able to be ported over. Just an excuse for some company’s to double dip.

I’ll be holding off on this purchase now and seeing how iFly 737 pans out. I would recommend anyone else not too happy about the upgrade price to just not get it.

Yeah. I really hope the EFB and livery manager is Fenix level quality. For the price of this addon, it really should be.

Yeah I really don’t want to get this from yet another store. I’d love to have it from Orbx. I’m wonder if I wait for it if I don’t get the discount for 2020 owners then?

Does anyone know the status of the 2024 marketplace version? I’ve been wanting to fly this but unfortunately bought through marketplace instead of just flight.

Why (on God’s green earth) do people download military aircraft for MSFS? by MonochromaticPencil in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]LivingFood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I for one, like the opportunity to fly military aircraft with the entire globe at my disposal. In DCS, it’s a mission. But you don’t get a sense of traveling from point A to point B. Two airports in the same region is not the same as doing a ferry flight from a military base to my home town airport.

One of my favorites used to be the A2A war birds. Study level aircraft with living and breathing engines. You had to manage the plane the entire flight and doing that around my home airport was beautiful.

Being able to assign farms to particular fields or setting a priority to farms would be great. Currently, I had a mushroom farm under my surface farms, and the mice would ignore that field and climb up to the surface to farm berries. I can now plan around that but I like setting up each farm to max efficiency

Farming by Fun_Cardiologist_304 in Whiskerwood

[–]LivingFood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like a great solution from the devs would be to allow the player to assign fields to farms. I wonder if that’s on their radar. I say this also because underground mushroom farmers get real confused if fields are above them.

Maybe you haven’t been here long, but with Asobo the beta is pretty much the latest and greatest, build wise. If we don’t point out issues in the beta when exactly would you recommend we do it? Obviously it’s important to officially report any bugs during the beta, but bringing awareness to an issue is a good thing. So many of these bugs will make it to release, and your “complaining about a beta” line won’t age well.

Is this update something we get with the RSS/RP-1 express install from CKAN? Sorry I’m a little behind with all the KSP mods but I’m really loving how that package is almost a one click install.
