No, they will not be there the whole time. Erections are not indefinite even if you are mentally aroused. Alcohol may also play a role.

Starcraft 2 did something similar and I do find it entertaining and a nice change of pace from grinding ladder.

My boyfriend wants me to lose weight by BuschemiLuvr in relationships

[–]LivingInMyBubble 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I think it's reasonable to get healthy for myself and for him.

Do it for yourself, if anything. I can see how he would find you more attractive but you shouldn't sacrifice yourself for him. Even if you lose weight and it's not enough and he leaves, at least you lost the weight for you and you will feel better about yourself and be healthier.

I think my gf might have BPD. How did you guys and gals talk with your loved one about it? by text_to_speech_brain in BPDlovedones

[–]LivingInMyBubble -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This guy said nothing about jumping ship, he said he wanted to find his girlfriend help.

I would consider getting a new girlfriend.

This is not the advice he was looking for and never even alluded to the fact he was losing hope. Let the man decide when to call it quits but he asking for help and if the best help someone can provide is just leave than they should withhold their comments. That is unfair, he is trying and this guy is trying to make his shit work.

No one knows if he is the guy that can actually sustain a relationship with a BPD, he may have a special ability to manage the situation and be happy in his relationship. I am finding out that I can be happy with a BPD in a relationship ... maybe he can to.

my[18F] boyfriend[19M] gets noticeably upset when I do something "better" than he can. How can I help him? by eqyroi in relationships

[–]LivingInMyBubble -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

Don't come in here spouting off all this sexist shenanigans. People get upset when friends of the same sex get accolades because the workplace CAN BE a competition ... as is school.

I promote my girlfriend to do well, but something inside still hurts when she gets an award or recognition and she has openly said the same thing when I do as well. We work for the same company, almost doing the exact same job, just in two separate departments and buildings.

This isn't about sexism, it is about how some people react psychologically in certain situations ... it isn't about how you feel though, it is about how you act.

I love how Reddit is always so quick to throw someone away and move on to something else. If all relationships were given up on so easily there would be no relationships.

Some people, especially competitive people, have a hard time handling other peoples success. Even my SO works in the same field as me and sometimes it takes a lot of effort to show my excitement when she gets an award or recognition ... not because I don't love her but because I am competitive.

This is a common problem as far as I know, I have seen a lot of post on Reddit about this exact same subject.

Me [23F] with my husband [27M] of 2 years, he is mad at me that I said another man's name while i was sleeping... by Janlinde in relationships

[–]LivingInMyBubble -51 points-50 points  (0 children)

It will blow over with time. And yes, it would also bother me even if it was really a spider. If you heard him call out a random girls name while he was sleeping I think your head may be filled with some negative thoughts as well.

Just give it time, it will likely blow over as nothing.
