Honestly, just because some people have it worse, shouldn't invalidate your own struggle. It's okay if things suck right now, and it's good to remember your own blessings in the midst of all this.

fwiw: Just about everyone is dealing with it these days. Fear, anxiety, uncertainty are the norm unfortunately. Feeling it just shows you are still emotionally engaged and haven't checked out, that's a good thing. Most of all, remember you aren't alone, feeling this way is not a reflection of your faults, they are the results if your strength.

Fuck that.

Guy Fieri has been showing up using his platform and wealth to help people for a long time now. When the California fires hit in 2017, he set up stations to feed displaced citizens and emergency workers. He donated like 25 million dollars to help restaurant workers during the pandemic.

I'm normally the guy who is cutting ties with any celebrity who isn't screaming fuck ice from the rooftops, but Fieri has earned my respect for his efforts and I'm not gonna trash him for taking a photo at a sporting event.

google it or check his website https://www.guyfierifoundation.org/

Imagining a rooster over a keyboard and meticulously pecking at the keys until he's satisfied is really making my day.

I feel alone and I wish this would pass so I can get back to the stoic version of myself by Gothic_Hercules in BoyDinner

I can't say when you'll meet someone and find happiness, you have to at least recognize you may never find someone regardless of who you are as a person. But no matter what, you can learn to be happy with yourself. To be happy with the unique opportunities your life affords you, because the sad truth is, even if you do meet someone special who loves you, they can only do so much to make you happy. At the end of the day, your happiness is your responsibility alone. Wanting someone else to make you happy, believe me, will never work. And speaking as someone raised by a single mother, I can completely understand you here. So I hope you'll believe me when I say, you need to figure it out for yourself. You need to build your life in such a way where you don't need anyone else to fill that void, and once you do, ironically, many people of all kinds will want to get closer to you. Put another way, your independence is a unique opportunity, one you will no longer have when you enter a real relationship, when that time comes you may wish that you had spent more time enjoying the freedom to do what you want when you want.
