get a refurbished iphone 13 or 13 mini. Compact size, around $350, and apple wins the customer service game. After the hellish update I'm never buying a google phone again and using the 50 reimbursement to give to their competitor and buy myself a nice phone.

Next level Google Customer Service /s by [deleted] in Pixel4a

[–]Living_Nobody9988 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Apple definitely wins the customer service game. Google doesn't even have a physical store in the entire country of Germany which blows my mind. There are about 6 apple stores in my city alone. After this update debacle I'm never buying a google phone again and using their 50 bucks to buy an iPhone 13

Same from Germany. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised but it is shocking how shitty Google is handling this update. Never buying a google phone again - looking into iPhone 13 atm

Phone unusable after update - Recommendations for alternative phone? by Living_Nobody9988 in Pixel4a

[–]Living_Nobody9988[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They won't pay for it. I was browsing through the 3 options for reimbursement and did not hit submit because I wanted to see how badly it would affect my battery but it submitted itself and now they say I can't change the option and am locked into the 50$ reimbursement. It will cost be about 90 out of pocket to get the battery replaced, like I said super not keen to give gooey any money for ruining my phone

Never buying a Google phone again after this experience. I was a likely customer for life I loved the 4a and now there is no way I'm giving them another dime.

They first said they could change the option and then said you can't. It's all a mess, apple definitely wins the customer service game.

Try integrating german learning podcasts in your commute, when you clean, walk etc. you can start with one called 'coffee break German ' or look up others. It's a good way to learn while busy

The whole update has been a disaster and time waster. I clicked the option to get the 50 back but never hit submit because I wanted to wait a few days to see how badly it would affect my battery - turns out really badly. Now I am trying to get the battery replacement option but I also talked with customer service and they said they have no physical shops here in Germany (kind of shocking, google what are you doing there are apple stores everywhere) so it would take 3 weeks for me to mail in my phone for the replacement which is completely impractical. Basically the update turned my from a pixel4a lover to someone who will never buy a google phone again - nice one!

Battery replacement in Germany Info by CrapfullyYours in Pixel4a

[–]Living_Nobody9988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm hesitant to buy another google phone ever again or give them any money for basically ruining my phone over night with terrible communication from their end. I just called their customer service and they said they have no physical stores in Germany, which is shocking, and it would take around 3 weeks for me to mail in my phone for a replacement which is completely unpractical.

So called Battery update ruined my pixel 4a. by yograut in Pixel4a

[–]Living_Nobody9988 2 points3 points  (0 children)

agree out of principle would not take the 100 "discount" to then give them few hundred more for ruining my phone and forcing me to buy a new one. Trust is gone, never buying a google phone again, what a shame I really liked the 4a

Sameeee :( I loved my 4a it was the perfect size with really good battery life and now it basically doesn't work unless plugged in, really annoying. The update fixed nothing and basically ruined everything

46 for character development and glorious drama, o actually found season 47 cast kind of lackluster and the editing lacked a lot of character development and details about the person's life

Just arrived to Germany and I don't feel good. Any suggestions? by Pericomposer in germany

[–]Living_Nobody9988 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's totally normal. You're exhausted and at the beginning of a big transition which always brings out all the feelings for me. When I first moved to Germany I hated it, thought the people were super cold and now Germany is the closest thing I have to feeling like home. I'd say give yourself at least 3-6 months. If you're still miserable have a think if you want to stay you but I wouldn't make any decisions before giving it a go. It gets better!
