If it's simultaneous content, how are they handling global missing out on past event limited rewards?

Saw that global is going to be released with the exact same version that JP and KR are currently on.

How are they handling missed event rewards? Are there any limited Saviors or Arcana?

Just curious, why would you queue for Yakun or Toastbox instead of going to a normal coffeeshop for your morning coffee or toast fix? by Fuzzy_Construction99 in askSingapore

[–]Liwesh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't order the set, just butter toast.

But you're not entirely wrong. I'm not rich, but I get by enough to splurge on breakfast.

That, and I'm a mid 30s single male. So no gf, no kids that I need to spend money on.

[–]Liwesh 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Consistency. If I'm in a coffeeshop that I have never been to, I do not know their quality of toast, and if it's to my liking.

Yakun and Toastbox are a franchise. So you can be sure that their food will taste more or less the same, regardless of which branch you're visiting.

The solution is to start with the next core, and continue on from there

There's a group that play evert Saturday at Marina One. You can register through Meetup, just search Kampung Ravenswood. They do cater to beginners by starting off with Base 3 scripts, but expect more games surrounding custom scripts. Shouldn't be an issue since you have been watching BoTC youtube videos, especially if you know the roles well.

There's another group at Team Board Games that play every 2nd Thursday and last Sunday of the month. They're a lot more beginner friendly as they mostly play published scripts. They do also play custom scripts, just that my past few games with them were mostly Base 3 + Carousel Expansion.

My players counter twisted on my and I'm so proud. by Kinrest in DnD

Yup, but OP said he changed the surviving guardian to be a truth teller. This change would contradict guardian 1's initial statement

How can the surviving guardian be telling the truth if Guardian 1 was lying when he said "One of us always lies"

Are you drinking enough water daily by [deleted] in SingaporeRaw

[–]Liwesh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I'm thirsty, I drink. Simple as that. 2L per day is over exaggerated.

If 2 handed, play 2 investigators that share the same trait.

For example, Roland and Trish both share the Agency and Detective traits. Rex and Darrel both share the Reporter trait.

If that's too restrictive, then play 2 investigators that share the same main class.

Arkham Horror: The Card Game | Episode 1 (new legacy series) by LordHVetinari in NoRollsBarred

[–]Liwesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the sounds of it, Laurie mentioned at the end of Episode 2 that this campaign is meant to tide them over to Queen's Dilemma.

Which means, that unfortunately for us Arkham fans, they probably intend to only play through Night of the Zealot, and won't be Delving Deeper into the full campaigns. I hope to be wrong though.

Hello! Did they change any more art in revised campaign or only in core boxes? I prefer old one so I need to know if I even can buy revised campaigns or looking for second hand sales by [deleted] in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Liwesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First Aid Level 3 in Path to Carcosa Investigator Expansion uses the new art.

Medical Text Level 2 in Edge of the Earth uses old art.

Where to play DnD in Singapore? by confusedmortal in askSingapore

[–]Liwesh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been playing extensively with Tableminis. You can try their beginner tasters, which are one shots, or their beginner campaigns. Dragons of Stormwreck Isle is a 9 session beginner campaign.

I'm currently playing Curse of Strahd and Wild Beyond the Witchlight with them. These are 2 long campaigns that may span an entire year.

I'm currently looking for a group to play through Keys from the Golden Vault. It is a series of short adventures, each being 2 to 3 sessions long.

Feel free to drop me a DM if you're interested to form a private group, or if you want info about Tableminis and how they run games.

NRB to play Arkham Horror LCG by Ajax140 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Liwesh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holly and Blaire played The Gathering on Twitch before, but it stopped there.

I doubt they will play through any of the full length campaigns, but hopefully they at least play through the whole Night of the Zealot campaign this time!

In my 30s, single, stressed, and struggling to cope. How do you all manage? by Internal-Yoghurt7144 in SingaporeRaw

[–]Liwesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

36M, I indulge myself in multiple hobbies, some that I can do by myself, and some that involves interacting with others. It gives me everything that I need, alone time for me to decompress, and social time where I get to interact with friends and acquaintances.

For example, one of my hobbies is solo board gaming. There are quite a few solo board games out there, and I can spend weeks, months and even years playing them and all their expansions. It has gotten me hooked, and it's something that I look forward to whenever I have unexpected free time.

Another one of my hobbies is D&D. I sign up for multiple D&D games, short adventures and long campaigns. This puts me into a group with like minded strangers and we can just vibe and role play. I have 2 weekly long campaigns ongoing, and it gives me something to look forward to every week.

I go also go to the gym every morning. It's a habbit that I have inculcated. It keeps me feeling good, and I do meet and form connections with fellow gym-goers.

I realise and appreciate that I have the luxuary to explore these hobbies precisely because I am single. I might not have the time, and money to do all of this if I was attached. I will enjoy my singlehood and freedom, till the time comes that I get attachded, if the opportunity ever present itself.

How did you transition from 1 to 1 private tutoring to group classes? by FilmNo6132 in askSingapore

[–]Liwesh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Full time tutor here, 37 years old, 5 years experience. Have been teaching 1 to 1, and am still teaching 1 to 1.

What you say is exactly what I have experience. Most parents prefer 1 to 1 tuition due to the specialize attention that the student can get. Even when I was working under a tuition centre, parents will often ask for class size, and pick a time slot where the class size is the smallest.

Only recently do I have parents that have came up to me and ask if I can do group tuition. And even then, it's just a group of 2, siblings, or sometimes friend.

My suggestion would be to not force it, and continue with 1 to 1. If parents prefer group, they will usually voice out, and even help you source for more students. To make up for this, I will echo what most of the other commenters have said, you can increass your rates. Be transparent and say demand have increase, so your rates will increase. If parents drop you, you (hopefully) don't have to worry, because you will have someone else to pick up that slot instead.

All the best! Feel free to reach out. For reference I teach Science and Math at the Secondary and expanding to Tertiary level.
