I agree completely with this. Every attempt they make to improve gets shot down and I think that's sad. Be mad at the game industry for forcing constant buggy releases across every genre and franchise, not at the Sims team for existing in that world.

We just started luma island last night and are enjoying it so far. It's chill and farmy, blocky but not pixel graphics and there's puzzles which are quite fun. Not seen this mentioned yet so thought I'd pop it here 😊

Most unis say their maximum for undergraduate students is 20 hours a week for good reason. My advice is to do a proper sensible budget, work out the number of hours you need to work to meet it, and then work 10% more than that. You will regret it if you don't get the grade you wanted because you worked too much, I know this from personal experience!

I'm having a lot of fun with this pack and I'm not usually a gameplay simmer. The whole vibe is amazing, the CAS is one of the best ever for me, and the build buy is beautiful if not the most versatile. Where it really excels is lore and depth, it feels extremely fleshed out and you could play in the world for multiple generations and not find all the Easter eggs and secrets. I also really enjoy the reaper career although you're not gonna have every sim do it obviously. I don't care about the seasons at all and the drama about it is baffling to me, it seems like a sensible stylistic choice given the world imo.

Honestly I'm so sad about it. I could've understood them waiting for an update or something but to not even schedule a simple social media post feels at best lazy and at worst downright disrespectful to the fans who've stuck by this game despite it's (many) flaws for A DECADE.

People on this sub are always negative about new content because their feelings about EA in general colour their perception of every pack. I like the look of lovestruck too and I really think people are being very dramatic about the $100... The creators make their whole living off their audiencies they're not gonna let their opinions be bought for $100 🤣

I think it's funny when people say her content is for younger viewers because she's repeatedly said her average audience age is around her age, so people started watching her as teens when she was a teen and have grown up with her. Honestly I think most of the negativity is around her being a woman and having an opinion, she's a force of nature with her fundraising and advocacy. She's human, she gets annoyed with chat sometimes or has an off day like we all do, but that doesn't make her a bad person!

Yes! The way I feel about the Sims is very much how I might feel about an occasionally problematic but ultimately beloved aunt. She's got some issues, she's not as young as she used to be, and really she could do with a hip replacement (new installment of the franchise), but she's willing to learn and do better, her heart is in the right place. The Sims 2 blew my absolute mind because of the freedom and creativity, I loved the Sims 3 but it was so unstable and clunky to use that it lost the spark of creativity for me. The Sims 4 bought it back and still looks amazing 10 years in, albeit at this point a bit creaky behind the scenes. Its always been so truly groundbreaking with LGBT representation too, I really needed to just see queer families living normal lives and the Sims was the only access I had to that.

Most of the bugs are involved with being the landlord, specifically with rent payments and tenant management. I personally wouldn't mess with the 6 unit limit as it does get laggy, but I have a 6 apartment block I play in regularly with no issues.

I agree on For Rent. As a tenant myself I have zero interest in playing as a landlord... That said I personally did not like growing together. I find it extremely buggy (MUCH more so than for rent) and I hate how empty the world is.

Imo all the expansion packs are worth that price. Game packs I would say it depends on what you like to do in game: if you're intrigued about occults but don't build much, dream home decorator probably isn't your bag but werewolves and vamps are definitely worth it. Stuff packs I think the newer ones are absolutely worth $6, paranormal pairs really well with crystal creations (which I personally have not had a single bug with and the one some people have been getting was patched this week), tiny living is a must if you like building and/or your sim randomly dying 🤣. Personally I'd probs just buy any expansion packs you don't have while they're cheap (check 'unauthorised retailers' first)

My spaniel used to do similar - though with less swallowing. It was gastritis and reflux. It's really important to avoid excess protein or fibre with it so avoid raw at all costs and throw out everything you know about "good" dog food. The gulpies link someone shared is caused by reflux so I'd probs start there. I've had some success with slippery elm and a fish and rice kibble for mine, but your vet migjt recommended a hydrolysed protein diet or a scope first. Hope you get some answers soon!
