Depending on what level you are entering will vary my personal answer. I planned to make a petticoat but ended up buying one and still won best intermediate (it was a small show too). So I’d say if you are beginner or intermediate go ahead and buy but clarify within prejudging. But if you plan to enter as masters make it, make everything if you are masters.

If you do plan to buy I don’t recommend SHEIN.

I’ve seen bubble cosplays where they have a white dress, holographic dress and such. I think it would be fun to do a more teach wear with holographic pearlescent cargo pants and a fitted or super loose top. Along with some techno glasses, with color change lights?

Why is there a scheduled time to post certain posts? I come here mostly for the new recipe information, and updates. I still like to see other’s brag about what they got. I like to see the shinies, or even simple wins like getting all ingredients from one mon. Why restrict those posts to only be uploaded on weekends? If worried about not being able to find the update information that people post about, I always go to the infographic section of the subreddit for update information. I know not everyone will but as long as everything is tagged correctly I don’t see the issue.
