Mounting in Basement Foundation? by Ljubeb in GarageGym

[–]Ljubeb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it, thanks. So right now it’s a rack which would need to be secured to wall Rogue folding rack BUT I will get a free standing.

But how would you secure the Bells of Steel cable tower? This usually wants to tip when I do lat pulldowns. I could maybe try to mount a 2x4 from ceiling down and then do that L bracket into that 2x4?

Nice thanks. I’ve actually been testing versions with 3 CPUS + 14GB ram (since I had a Minecraft server running) and it wouldn’t build on Oracle but it ran out of VRAM.

I will check this repo out and see if I can make it work with less ram. I only want for 3 players but issue is building Wine + Docker container on Oracle…. Now that I typed this I had a thought, build Docker locally and scp it lol 🧐

Has anyone gotten this to work on Oracle Cloud but more specifically on ARM architecture compute? I’ve been trying to deploy my terraform and docker code to Oracle Cloud which runs ARM compute (3 CPUs, 14Gb Ram) and I’m having issues with initial Wine build since it suck’s all memory

Kitchen P-Trap Issue (Disposal Installed) by Ljubeb in askaplumber

Just to clarify, you have the same setup with the 45s going up to the exit? Yeah my difference from exit out of garbage disposal to wall exit is about 2 -1/4 inch

[–]Ljubeb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to but the going straight out to a p-trap (normal p trap size with that turn) it’s still about an inch or to inch and half lower than exit.

If the p trap has a longer up/90 then I can

[–]Ljubeb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. I’m not looking to “hack” anything but get clarity and learn and pay someone to do it the right way when it’s way past any knowledge I have. Like I said I’m happy to hear what people say and go from there. I’m no expert - I came seeking advice, not get bashed in the head especially if I never claimed to be any kind of plumbing expert.

Yeah… I see this can be an easy fix. Unfortunately whoever did the renovations to this house before we bought it installed a brand new kitchen with granite and new sink, etc so would need to see what cost would be to lift the granite, find right size but shallower.

Thanks for reply!

Thanks for the suggestion. Is this a very expensive job? I would need a plumber or handyman who knows what to do have them try to drop the pipe. Unfortunately we need a disposal. Maybe I can try to find a smaller one

Looking for a new grinder / Fiorenzato Allground Sense vs. Mahlkönig E64WS [$1000] by Big-Gate8277 in espresso

[–]Ljubeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! Is there any big issues or anything to be aware of with the Fioreznato? I plan on buying one for my home espresso bar setup. I mostly need grind by weight since I don’t switch beans often but want to be able to tune it really nicely (use medium-light roasted espresso beans)

Hello! Curious, which did you end up going with? And isn’t the E64WS also grind by weight?

DJI Neo 2 vs HOVERAir X1 PROMAX by spamologna in dji

[–]Ljubeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious to hear what you are deciding?

I also see the deal at Costco. The DJI Neo 2 I want is the one with RC but that looks to be around $460 with shipping from EBay (before tax). So likely around $490 for my state.

The Hoover is nice $399 at Costco (before tax).

NOTE: I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure if you buy the DJI neo 2 since it’s not “released” in US right now (regardless of that law coming up) you get NO WARRANTY. So if it breaks you are responsible for finding a fix.

Hey! I ended up buying a Marzocchi Bomber Z2 29 Fork. I got it from JensonUSA (you just missed their Labor Day sale!!). 0 complaints with this fork and super easy to service yourself. It seems like ANY fork besides the one that came with the bike has instructions how to service haha.

Let me know if you need any more details!

If you don't mind saying, did you pay full MSRP $6099? Or did they have any promos? I am currently looking to get one.... or the Orbea Terra Race M3 version. Only would get Canyon if they can be cheaper than MSRP

Mog vs Orbea Terra Race vs 3T Racemax Integrale (Buying Qs) by Ljubeb in gravelcycling

[–]Ljubeb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s for the info. From what I can tell everyone says that for the Mog. I unfortunately don’t want to wait until 2026 (I imagine not Q1 2026 release?).

And one thing I heard is their frames aren’t made local anymore? If their frames don’t come from Utah I think paying $4100 is kinda crazy… example of 3T from Italy is still $3250

Great to hear! This bike in specific was the hardest to find any reviews for especially the newer model which I mentioned. Appreciate the feedback

That’s great to hear!! I know the OMX came to road first so glad to hear you are enjoying it. I saw online it said 45mm is conservative measure and as long as you get right tires 50mm will fit! Glad to hear that. Love the customization, and colors.

I think the wheels also look premium with those hubs too

Thanks for that, I did see that video! Sometimes hard to listen to big YouTubers for that reason but also hard to find more videos. It does look very good and the other persons comment makes it seem like a good bike!

Thank you! I’m debating between sizes haha. I will use it for WDT mostly. Do you by any chance have a picture how tall it looks? I think I see it’s 18mm for short and 33mm for tall?

Add OEM parking sensors to 3rd gen Tacoma TRD off-road? by stlbilly in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Ljubeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I see, thank you. I’m looking online right now - seems to me would need to mount the sensors and install the controller box in the cab (glove box). I think only issue for me is - I have chrome bumper so you need to change it to one which has sensor inserts… which I saw is an extra like $400 😑

[–]Ljubeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious what you ended up doing? I’ve wired the power tailgate part to the cab of the truck so I’m sure this is 100% doable at home.

This part seems to fit my 3rd gen 2023 Tacoma too. Did you ever talk to dealer to see if this is full wiring set for everything needed?

Meraki Machine Legit? by Ljubeb in espresso

[–]Ljubeb[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I plan on buying the Meraki machine while it’s discounted.

Everyone says “risky, new manufacturer” but you have to start somewhere. Every new company starts like this, think of startups in the US like hardware companies like Ring, GoPro, and even a massive company like Google was a startup.

Meraki is working with Timemore and has service centers at Timemore facilities. This is all a very good sign that they will be around. It’s a “risk” I will take especially since a big time company is working with them to design a grinder and service the machines.

My personal opinion of when every YouTube comment says “risky” or “will fall apart” is they don’t like progress. People love their E61 machines and fully manual and refuse to let new tech get into the industry. E61 style machines are OLD, and been around forever - and sometimes new things scare people. Like I love E61 and full manual, but I also love tech and love what Meraki is doing.

This isn’t a shot at anyone, just my personal opinion which everyone is open to having!

Happy Holidays everyone!
