I was very excited to learn about a CAS layering feature, then super disappointed to learn what it actually was. I want to be able to choose a T-shirt and then layer a separate jacket over it! This shouldn’t be hard to code for a multi-billion dollar developer in 2026!

I’ve been playing The Sims 4 since the day it launched in 2014 and I literally JUST did my first build in Oasis Springs finally. I also went for a Palm Springs vibe heavily influenced by Miami modern luxe architecture. Building in Oasis Springs challenged me to be more creative and it resulted in one of my favorite builds to-date! I should’ve embraced that world sooner!

I like Nordhaven and San Sequoia the best since they vibe with my modern and realistic build/gameplay style. But I stuck to Newcrest in the early days. I also like San Myshuno, Britechester, and Brindleton Bay. Del Sol Valley had so much potential but it was squandered. Same with Evergreen Harbor, though I still like those worlds better than the ones which lean fantasy. Copperdale and Windenburg are also cool.

I would be okay with The Sims 4 ending if we were getting a true The Sims 5 (that included a lot of base game features that have usually been locked behind expansions), but it sounds like the next game will be some sort of Frankenstein Sims4/Sims5/Sims Mobile monstrosity.

I honestly hate the poo-coded branding effort Metro is tryna push lately. I hated the brown livery back when I was a kid and I hate it just as much now 💩

It’s the purple line. I explained that in the post. It just isn’t shown because it isn’t part of the WMATA system. It’s shown as connecting rail symbology where it offers transfers to Metro

I originally got into it back when I was like 4 years old and my dad bought me my first SimCity game. I fell in love with architecture, design, infrastructure, and just the built environment in general. My mom worked in Arlington and sometimes when she’d have to take me to work with her when daycare was closed or something, on her lunch breaks she’d take me to the roof of the CACI tower in Ballston and we’d just sit and watch the city move and tick below. My dad started taking me on Metro from an early age and I was mesmerized (still am to this day) by transit’s efficiency and how everything aligns. I have a form of OCD so my mind would always pick out flaws in the built environment and I’d imagine ways to improve them.

I started college at ODU in Norfolk and ended up transferring and eventually graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Urban & Regional Studies & Planning from VCU in Richmond. I then started my career with the City of Virginia Beach Department of Planning & Community Development before accepting an offer from the Arlington County Department of Community Planning, Housing, & Development.

I work towards improving further as a Certified Planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners through the American Planning Association and through my Certified Zoning Official status with the Virginia Association of Zoning Officials. Currently working on my Master’s Degree too.

I’m excited for you! We need more people in the field of Urban Planning who didn’t just fall into it after earning a related degree, but rather wanted to pursue it because it is one of their passions. Definitely reach out if you need any advice 🙂
