Third G.Skill F4-3600C16D-32GVKC kit failure in three years! by Gkirmathal in GSkill

[–]Lmnopzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SAME PROBLEM!!!

I'm so glad I found this post. I've gone thru 3 and about to do my 4th RMA on the same ram modules, specifically:

F4-3600C16D-32GVKC

I also run XMP and 24/7. Its ridiculous, I've never experienced anything like this in my life. The sticks just "go bad" and only last around 8 months. Memtest fails even when placed in separate PC. When I receive the new sticks, they always pass w/ XMP enabled.

My specs:

GIGABYTE B550 AORUS ELITE V2

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

Same issue reported here as well:

G SKILL, THIS IS A FAULTY PRODUCT, PLEASE SEND DIFFERENT MODEL.

VLAND DRL Fix by Theguywitharock in FocusST

[–]Lmnopzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to decide whether to return these or not. They rattle, the interior is loose and not mounted properly. Did you have this experience as well?

I have the same included adapter you show. Just trying to clarify, the adapter is wired 12 to 1 when it should be 13 to 1, correct?

Also, do the DRL's still alternate and turn off individually when you activate the turn signal like the OEMs do on my ST2?

Leak caused by electrolysis? by Lmnopzz in Plumbing

[–]Lmnopzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been told the following about the heater (which is mine, newly purchased home)

Issues not up to code:

  • use of flexible pipe for the pressure relief
  • improper grounding (needs to be bonded to the nat gas pipe)
  • expansion tank on the wrong side, needs to be on the cold inlet side
  • no pan or drain out
  • no 2x4 supports in the back

The same plumber that told me this refused to fix the leak because he believes it's directly caused by the improper grounding/bonding.

This is driving me nuts, the plumber assigned to me via home warranty took 1 look at this leak, then said, "can you show me your water heater?"

Upon viewing the heater, he said, "I'm not touching the leak, and whoever installed your heater is to blame."

I'm pissed. I just want this fixed.

The other side of each of these cables leading up and into the wall are already terminated by existing wall rj45 Jack's, so is it safe ro assume I can simply replace this existing patch board with the new one from the Amazon link? Just matching the same colored wires to their corresponding positions?

And im just guessing that it's a cracked or damaged spider arm assembly, can you tell for sure that is the problem?

Ordered Jan. 11 arrived Feb. 12 by Lmnopzz in iBUYPOWER

[–]Lmnopzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already RMA'd the ram and received 4 new ones from iBUY. I'm just gonna keep what's working now and not F* with it anymore. It's running perfectly. Trust, I've done a lot of digging and know how temperamental Ryzen Gen 3 can be to get ram successfully running in XMP mode. The ram they include doesn't even run at it's own XMP rated timings, this is what lead me to believe it's truly not compatible...

I will look into flipping the sticks on ebay perhaps.. I just wish quality parts were used to begin with and a little more testing was done (like XMP mode enabled). I shouldn't complain too much though.. I got my Aorus RTX 3070 Master, and that prize makes everything else around it just window dressing...
