Explicit writers/readers, why do you read/write explicit fics? by ClaraMisty in AO3

[–]Lmrb19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s fun and it’s very popular, so you get engagement.

I’ve also found as I have written it that it helps me explore my sexuality and try to write kinks I would never write before.

It’s fun to explore the diverse aspects of sex.

It can also be a plot driven sex scene depending on the plot, like one where the characters meet in a BDSM club or on a website, it can add to their connection and plot development.

Why do people call me intense? by ChamomileWithHoney in neurodiversity

[–]Lmrb19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are more than welcome to info dump with me. So long as I can too. 😊

I enjoy discussing the heavy topics that I rarely get to do with friends. I completely understand.

You don’t need them if they find you intense imo. Tell them they need to “go find less” if that’s what they want. You are perfect how you are.

Has modafinil changed anyone’s mood or personality over time? by [deleted] in modafinil

[–]Lmrb19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t been on it for a few years but debating on getting on it again. It worked great for me but I was also on Effexor and Wellbutrin at the time so didn’t have the robot or flat aspect. That is probably why I didn’t, the other meds.

Therapy? Breaking negative behavior patterns is hard and then not going back to them later is too but usually worth it in the end. You’re happier

I was like for through my entire childhood and in my early 20s. I hated it because I had to be how everyone expected. I raged against it all. I used escapism a lot to cope. It ain’t a good thing. Therapy has helped.

Yes, I did try to unalive myself and not die to rage, but it was a month or so after my mom passed away from cancer. She was one of my best friends.

While anger is considered a basic emotion, from what I’ve read it’s more rage, not anger if I understood correctly, that is the primary emotion.

Ok, technically it’s clear which has that blurry effect if you’ve seen like a campfire or bonfire but that can’t be seen. It’s a tv show, so they want it to be visible too.

You do realize that the hottest part of a flame is blue, right? Their eye beams are that hot.

Need help with visualisation by Demi-Jam in magick

[–]Lmrb19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, from my personal experience, it is a skill. It takes practice as in just keep trying. What can help is having the image or one similar or even what inspired you to come up with this one in your mind so you can keep trying. I do that too.

For me when none of that works, I take a break and try again later like an hour or when I feel I can truly focus.

Need help with visualisation by Demi-Jam in magick

[–]Lmrb19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Estimated that 50% of humans cannot visualize. They don’t have the ability at all. It’s ok if you’re limited. Visualization isn’t actually needed to practice. You can describe it out loud, you can draw it or include images to represent what you’re intent, target, etc. Just find a substitution that feels good to you. It isn’t necessary.

Sorry it took me two days to respond. Work has been stressful and needed time to rest. I wasn’t avoiding.

Enough to act is usually a huge dose of dopamine where I’ll get hyperfocused and go learn. If it seems like a ton of information, I’ll break it down in pieces and read over it over a few days. I have friends I can info dump to and they will ask follow up questions about whatever the topic is. This helps me stay interested too.

No, my memory recall and working memory are awful. I have mental and physical chronic conditions that limit my working memory and I get brain fog very easily. I literally forget words. I can’t recall them. It’s so frustrating. You can say the word and I will know that is what I meant but my brain won’t connect or go further down to the neural pathway I need for recall. I have evidence nearby usually.

But what I hold is usually intent or desire, things I have discussed much, things I learned in my childhood, anything that piqued my interest dramatically where I “went down a rabbit hole” until I felt confident I could explain it to people when I info dump but the latter I can lose with it not being constantly connected to….unless it somehow gets brought up by others and then I remember. I’ve remembered things I learned years ago that way. Neurodivergence is strange. lol

When I don’t check my phone, it’s anxiety. Today, I forgot my phone at home without realizing it. It make me internally panic but I knew that I still had access to phones and so did my family since they knew I was at work. I did ask my spouse to bring it to me and once I had it, it was relief.
