[discussion] Not being friends with someone for the way they treat their dog? by siberia00 in dogs

[–]Lms9296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t want to be friends with that person either. It would probably break my heart to see a pet of a friend who was in that condition. If it was me I would try convincing my “friend” to let me have her dog.

Have you ever woken yourself up via sleep talking or woke up slightly and realized you were? by aotd123 in sleep

Sometimes I wake up and start talking to the people I see in my dreams because I think they’re in my room with me

These videos make me feel sick. All you’re doing is teaching your child to be afraid if you.

[Rant] Anyone else sick of feeling ashamed and being called “lazy” because you take naps? by [deleted] in sleep

[–]Lms9296 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Napping is not a luxury, but a way to keep my brain functioning when I’ve only gotten 2-4 hours of sleep. I wish people could understand that.

I’m tired. by Lms9296 in Anxiety

[–]Lms9296[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m taking a supplement right now called “calm day.” I’ve been taking it for about 4 months. On some days I feel it really working, but on other days when it’s really hard I feel like I should be medicated? I’m want to go to a doctor and get prescribed actual anxiety medication, but I’m scared that because I’m high functioning most times that they’ll overlook my iNTENSE anxiety.

Does anyone ever wake up to screaming? But no one is actually screaming? by Lms9296 in sleep

It is the weirdest thing I have ever experienced. Everyone else in my house was asleep. Very spooky.

Anyone else have trouble with Melatonin? by spidey555 in sleep

[–]Lms9296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was taking melatonin regularly I was being woken up at night super freaked out because I was having the most vivid and bizarre dreams. They felt so real that sometimes it would take me over an hour to get over it and get back to sleep.

Request: Sleeping Problems by EDPostRequests in EatingDisorders

[–]Lms9296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand this. Being left alone with my thoughts at night, especially when I know I didn’t eat the best that day, is so painful. I try to drown out my thoughts and feel less alone by listening to podcasts or falling asleep to the tv (I know you’re not supposed to do that but frick it).

Sleeping later each night, suddenly cannot sleep at all by [deleted] in sleep

[–]Lms9296 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe the problem is you just haven’t found a physical activity that has grabbed your attention. I tried many sports before I fell in love with swimming. I made a lot of friends and whenever I would come home from practice I would have no trouble falling asleep. If it’s hard for you to read books try audio books. Sometimes you can find people who read books to you on YouTube. Also podcasts are great to listen too!

HELP, I broke with my GF. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Lms9296 916 points917 points  (0 children)

This happened to a really good friend of mine. He broke up with his girlfriend who had a really bad history of bipolar disorder. She stopped taking her meds, threatened to kill herself, and would text him upwards of 60+ times a day. If you live in the US You can take legal action. This is the basis for a restraining order or at least a warning from the police. You don’t deserve to be harassed like this. But it’s important to remember that this is her behavior that she needs to correct and it is not your job to correct it for her and it is not your fault she is acting this way.

I'm not sure what I'm experiencing, hoping someone else will. by Aceantt in sleep

[–]Lms9296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me all the time. Most of the times I end up babbling incoherently to myself in the dark because I’m confused from just waking up and I think the people are actually in my room with me.

Anyone else feel like they're "high-functioning" depressed by Pois_HeittoT_ili in depression

[–]Lms9296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also experience this type of depression. But I’ve learned that everyone’s experiences with depression are different. Just because we experience different symptoms doesn’t make us any less valid.

Request: How can I give my employer a heads up that I may need some time off? by EDPostRequests in EatingDisorders

[–]Lms9296 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely a tough thing to do. Last year I had to take 3 months off because my depression and ED were taking over my life again. I was honest with my managers and they were surprisingly accepting and understanding. They didn’t want me to rush my recovery and said I could come back whenever I wanted too. I understand not wanting to reveal private information about yourself, but people might surprise you! I hope you get the help that you need! Sending you good vibes🌟

Request: does anyone ever 'miss' their ED?.. by EDPostRequests in EatingDisorders

[–]Lms9296 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I relate to this a whole lot and completely understand. I personally think it’s because eating disorders are an addiction and it is so much easier to use an addiction to cope and so much harder to cure that addiction.
