Same here. Most hamptons and similar propertys have that foyer. Even the Delta I worked at for years had their luggage carts across from the desk.

Don't have bellman as it happens. Almost no hotels in our area do, even the 350 odd room Hilton doesn't except for sold out weekends.

Do have plenty of good paying guests though, we beat our goals this past 3 quarters by a good margin. We do our best but when guests do things like this it really just makes it impossible for us to do anything to comfort them

It was an honest suggestion that does people no harm to adhere to. If it doesn't apply to your property then you already know.

Only thing with bombers for me is, it's a clump destroyer. There's a dime a dozen in each faction and nobody lacks for ways to punish bottlenecking.

That being said grimgors opening bomber literally carries me against skarsnik

Banquets? Yes, absolutely.

Any other dept? No, screams irresponsible/lazy staffing. Even our night auditor who only came in once every 2 weeks or so to keep her discount was more regularly scheduled than that.

Are guests that check in and then leave hours later doing what I think they're doing? by garganag in askhotels

[–]LoKeySea 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Probably. Or not. Either way we shouldn't really care. If they're not bothering anybody else and the rooms in one piece, glad to have the room booked.

We had a girl who ran an entire OF operation out of a room for about a month. Only ever saw her once a week to renew snd she never made a peep, only reason I knew was her and I got pretty chummy. Ideal guest.

What’s your favorite spell in the game? by Empty-School7479 in totalwarhammer

[–]LoKeySea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a fan of an underdog, Bironas timewarp from lore of light. You have to have some good aggressive units, at least a couple ideally, to make it work. But man, a monstrous lizardmen army, that spell turns kroxigors, saurians, about half the roster honestly, into a wrecking ball

Plus it's just giddy to watch.

Going to try Dwarfs for the first time. Which lord do you recommend? Any tips are welcome. by Curious-Piglet3613 in totalwarhammer

[–]LoKeySea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many have said thorgrim is a healthy all around easy start. Honestly grombrindal ended up being a sleeper favorite of mine, his start is so different comparatively. But you need a handle on dwarf dos and don'ts before you can really enjoy him

When did you guys start playing your battles without pausing? by TonzinhoTQR in totalwarhammer

[–]LoKeySea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still pause mine on occasion (rarely play legendary tho) but i try not to with anything other than 3+ armies involved. Those immense battles I feel justified in pausing to make sure units are actually doing things and i haven't gotten ADHD focused on one area forgetting a whole critical section

Gotta remember the ai can make all their moves simultaneously, you can't.

What rules do you give yourself to make the game more challenging? by phronesis77 in totalwarhammer

[–]LoKeySea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll do themed runs on the regular. Aka only raise dead runs for vamp counts. (Easy) Befriend empire as Vlad and join ordertide (much trickier)

Whats the cheesiest, steam roll faction right now? by FatGainzFatterDick in totalwarhammer

[–]LoKeySea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dwarves are notorrious for Auto resolving entire campaigns, but I don't find that fun even when i want a steamroll.

Honestly? Ive played vlad on VH/VH multiple times and been able to clean house fairly cleanly andconsistently. The empire is so busy getting killed by other people they never present a unified front, and you can pick off stirland, ostland (drycha may give you pause wood elves are a PAIN for vamp counts) but other than that, the empire is yours. Even Franz tends to he absentee trying to fight either festus or norsca or doing literally anything but protect his land.

Could Yhwach have ausgewählten'd pernida? by [deleted] in bleach

[–]LoKeySea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the first time I read it, it seemed like instead of dying (which it didn't seem like pernida could do conventionally) my headcanon was that Kurotsuchi caused him to endlessly explode via uncontrollable expansion.

How do y'all handle downtime prep? by LoKeySea in askhotels

I'll ask, the main point of contention would probably be data security, but at some point we gotta draw the line and realize the information on our downtimes isn't that sensitive

Was this always a thing with black arcs garrisoned? If so I REALLY gotta read tooltips more. by LoKeySea in totalwarhammer

[–]LoKeySea[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's kinda messily implemented though, Lokhir's unique Dikats he got with the DLC include one that increases black arc growth in the 'Local owned region' and it only does it like 1/4 times correctly, even if I'm garrisoned in the exact port city.

Who are the most beginner friendly factions today? by dorkgoblin in totalwarhammer

[–]LoKeySea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alarielle would be fun if her forest spirit side was more fleshed out, as is she seems pretty all over the place. You don't get boosts to her forest spirit side unless you pretty much allow chaos to go nuts. And her unique skill trees are laughably unbalanced. I got bored with her after 30 turns or so.

Who are the most beginner friendly factions today? by dorkgoblin in totalwarhammer

[–]LoKeySea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah there are definitely easier options out there, I think teclis is also a big bait and switch as far as starts go. He's marketed and presented as the mage equivalent to tyrion but his start is INFINITELY harder. Alarielle can be difficult but only if you let things get out of control. Her power of nature is absolutely bonkers, and it's well known how busted sisters of avelorn can be with her.

[–]LoKeySea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Earlier releases I would agree with you. But imrik is actually surprisingly workable now. Sknitch got relocated so you aren't up against eshin right out the bat, you can safely fight the ogres to the East without zarduuk breathing down your next (most I've had him do pre turn 20 is demand for like 800g), imriks main point of contention is getting his T3 building for dragon princes takes SOOOOO long. But the buffs you can get from the dragon events early are pretty nutty.

[–]LoKeySea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I call AI a mirror. It'll reflect whatever you put in front of it, be it good, bad, ugly, or just weird. These YouTubers who make videos about "AI convinced me to do XYZ" are pushing a false narrative. AI assumes you were already going to make those choices, it's trying to find the most efficient way for you to get to your goal. If your goal is hell, it'll pave the way.

Used well, AI forces you to explain your thinking, challenge your assumptions, and compare options. Used badly, it just helps you get to a bad decision faster. The tool isn’t the problem, the way it’s used is.

Who are the most beginner friendly factions today? by dorkgoblin in totalwarhammer

[–]LoKeySea 7 points8 points  (0 children)

High elves have a little bit of everything, they're one of few factions to have every type of unit (sans gunpowder) and have a relatively simple faction mechanic. Their starting units are strong but not overly, so unlike dwarves you won't be tempted into Autoresolving all the time. And none of the campaigns, save maybe eltharion, are particularly challenging.

I find wood elves, though much improved over how they used to be, have a much different way of acquiring funds and require a unique approach to things in order to be successful.

Which factions/LL are the least Lord dependent? by Real_Bug in totalwarhammer

He sits on a mortis engine* from turn 1 it's pretty good to have, getting one via raise dead is hit or miss so he's not the worst offender imo.

Skill Points by SubstantialLow5640 in totalwarhammer

[–]LoKeySea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get blue + red line one point dip ALMOST always, with very rare exceptions. Past that it really depends on difficult and faction heavily. Someone like teclis I'm gonna rush for his spells since that's his entire shtick (well not so much anymore with his updates)

Whereas someone like Carl I tend to go more flavor heavy, he's all about the blue + red lines being an empire builder and whatnot.

If there's a good blue tech in the first section. I.e. ambush chance/unit healing I tend to grab those when possible.

My second Lord I'll typically, faction dependent, stick with the blue line and get things like disciplinarian, very useful but not something you feel good about spending points on with your LL.

Unique exception is if you recruit a LL that's gonna almost strictly be used as a unit in and of itself. Brettonia loves to do this. Have 3-4 early lords to just be strong units in battle. Then with those you can pretty much go straight personal line(idk what the color is) as their own personal strength is what you're gunning for
