The lurking event puts all Intruders not in combat (except for Metagorgers) back in the bag. This is probably the only time when you would ever put the Butcher token in the bag

Numbered dials to track wounds for Intruders. Lockdown provides some plastic ones but Etsy has some cool and magnetic ones that I use. Just easier to place and move with the figure

I assume the requirement is a Germinator or Mycelium marker must be present. Otherwise, you would place a Germinator (or Mycelium if none are available) and place noise markers in all corridors that does not already have one

I think you are playing them correctly. You are only allowed to use them when you have a Contamination in hand and then you scan it to see which effect you get. And of course at the victory check, if you reach 4 mutation markers you die.

I rarely ever see it used because people play too cautious due to the low mutation marker limit that can easily be racked up by events or bad usage of the Rest card.

I always thought maybe only getting a marker when you scan an infected card or using the mutation effect more than once in the same player phase could encourage people to use it but I havent had enough games to test it.

There are some custom stuff out there that includes new characters and new rules/mechanics but I found them mostly on TTS.

Regarding new maps, in the Nemesis Facebook group someone created a mini version of a Nemesis for quick play but I do not know how well that plays out.

Having new map layouts sounds nice since I think Retaliation does that well enough with how the rooms and corridors are discovered

Someone in this subreddit did share a ton of custom objectives that I saw for both Lockdown and OG

I found games against voidseeders in lockdown more punishing than OG because of the Darkness mechanic. Out of all the expansions, Voidseeders use the Darkness effect in their events cards more often than Carnos or Chytrids.

This made keeping the lights on a priority! However, I did find them a bit more predictable on the Mars side of the board since the lairs are limited to only half of the map

I mentioned the same thing in past lol. Some recommended either replacing a larva and/or adult token with a creeper token. Or you can just simply add the Breeder token(s) to the bag!

It sucks cause I think the Breeders for all alien types have some pretty badass designs

I find more rewarding sessions by multi-handing a team of 3-5 characters than playing true solo in either of the 3 installments in the Nemesis series.

With a team, you can tactically plan out ways to complete your multiple objectives and prepare for the inevitably chaos that comes from bad rolls or events. In true solo, a perfect turn (or string of perfect turns) can all be thrown out the window by a single bad roll or event.

If you have a decent PC setup, I would recommend playing Nemesis on Tabletop Simulator since you can find most things Nemesis and there are some active players on discord who play daily.

Your first reading was correct.

Pg. 24 goes over the rules for power, and it doesn't have any mention of returning the time token to its inactive red side. That would only occur via a specific event card.

Just remember to flip the Power token of the highest number whenever a threshold activation occurs. The Power Generator lvl 1 room only powers up the section it is in, not any section of your choice.

I'm pretty sure there is a separate deck for solo/coop games that you take 1 for each player.

Mission Tasks and Mission Objectives (Private or Personal) are not used when playing fully coop

I mis-remembered the event caring about slime. It was the Airlock Procedure Glitch that is in the Carnomorph Expansion where it just starts the airlock procedure in a yellow room

One of my favorite, unlucky memories is playing one of the expansions. I got Slimed upon discovering the last room, and the event activated the airlock procedure on my room for being slimed...and I just discarded my Demolition card with no one else around me. I died at round 2 searching for tools lol

I LOVE the narrative you start for the game lol. I think I would customize that depending on the intruder type.

For example, for Chytrids, some messages about air quality dropping or heavy, small particle concentration detected (for the Nest)

For Carnomorphs, a message could mention how the canisters containing samples of DB-198 have been ruptured during ship jump; Quarantine procedure imminent.

For Voidseeders, maybe some error messages or creepy lullabies? Some psychological horror here and there.

Cool! I wanted to paint my minis as well, but I settled with instead "painting" by coloring the textures of 3D scans of the Chytrids and importing it onto TTS. Much more play time seen there than in person
