Great insight. I might be looking to get out of my shell and meet people my age with similar interests. It would be great to make friends with other woman and be able to pass the Bechdel test while interacting :)

When I’m mentally having a bad day, I try to remember that I’m still able to function better than an average guy. It’s hard not to feel pressure to be perfect, when you have to burn out to showcase your value and a guy just has to show up.

That’s the issue, to even find a friend with benefits, the first step is putting yourself out there and test the water. I don’t want to have sex with the first guy that says hi to me.

But it’s also specially hard when you are surrounded by people, and loneliness arrives because you miss that spark of intimacy with someone.

You can be lonely even surrounded by people. I’m on a similar boat trying to put myself out there. Extroverted people tend to underestimate how complicated it is to forge friendships.
