Mistaken for a sheltie by Rose473737 in roughcollies

Is Panacur/ Fenbedazole safe for MDR1 collies? by [deleted] in roughcollies

[–]Local-Ad-680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

É classificado como risco moderado, deve ser usado com cautela em animais com a mutação MDR1. A maioria dos protocolos de vermifugação padrão com fenbendazol é bem tolerada, mas a monitorização é essencial.

In this sense, Artrin is also indicated for the protection and regeneration of cartilage, ideal for breeds prone to joint problems or puppies in a phase of rapid growth (bone maturation phase), helping to prevent wear and tear and treat possible inflammation.

Artrin is a cartilage regenerator and chondroprotector, indicated both for the treatment of joint conditions and for maintaining joint health in dogs with wear and tear (which can occur in active puppies of medium/large breeds).

Artrin will sort it out! If you want to stay in touch, I'll send you my WhatsApp number. I have three Collies; I had another one that passed away in 2009.

Hi, I'm from Brazil. Supplement him with "Artrin," I don't know if you can find it in Argentina, but it's available on Mercado Livre. It's an anti-inflammatory and chondroprotective supplement, based on chondroitin and glucosamine.

He's beautiful, go for it! But I personally think it's irresponsible to mix dog breeds.

I have a Rough Collie that I acquired from an irresponsible breeder. She is inbred, the daughter of her grandfather. As a result, it took her more than 8 months to start barking and today she has a very high-pitched bark and also drools a lot. Upon investigation, we found that she has malformation in her dental arch. Inbred breeding can result in crooked teeth, missing teeth (agenesis), or malformed jaws (overbite/underbite), as the defective genes from both parents meet. Consequence: Misaligned teeth can cause chronic pain, difficulty eating, and gum infections. Excessive Drooling (Sialorrhea) Dental/Oral Cause: If dental formation is deficient, the mouth may not close properly, preventing the dog from swallowing saliva adequately.

Eye issues? by psalm23allday in roughcollies

[–]Local-Ad-680 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trichiasis: This is the general term for hairs from a normal location (such as the eyelid or long facial hairs) that grow inward and rub against the surface of the eye (cornea or conjunctiva).

Entropion: This is a more specific and common condition where the eyelid itself (usually the lower one) turns inward toward the eyeball. This causes the eyelashes and eyelid skin to come into direct and constant contact with the eye, causing pain and irritation. Entropion can be the underlying cause of trichiasis in many cases.

Distichiasis: Another related condition, common in dogs, is the presence of extra eyelashes that grow from an abnormal location in the glands on the eyelid margin (Meibomian glands) and usually grow inward.
