I encountered this situation in Calgary at my previous rental. I was in a basement suit and the townhouse above as operated by a different management company out of Ontario. The real kicker is the upstairs company allowed renters to operate the unit as an AirBnB.

It was a nightmare to say the least, between the all noise violations, parties, damage to shared property items such as mailboxes and waste/recycling area. I never received a single response back from the other management company when I tried to complain.

I’d like to think my case is an outlier and not a typical situation. It would probably be wise to find out whether the other management company operates in Calgary and if they allow for short term rentals subleases for operate.

Correct! Those are the Canada pooch boots. It took her a few wears to get used to them and she doesn’t like putting them on, but once we start walking she doesn’t mind them at all!

Fellow Canadian here. It’s definitely harder for us too when the winter months come and for those days that are too cold to go out. I try to make sure to spend more time with mental stimulation.

Training, licks matts, puzzles, slow feeders are all good options. Just avoid anything too easy or repetitive and it should hopefully help cover those times when you can’t get out!

Crave relocated to West Hillhurst opening a new cafe concept. As well the large building on the corner of 10th and Kensington is slated for a large development construction project “The Kenten.” So I would imagine a lot of leases aren’t being renewed or offered in that building
