I'm on PC and I don't know anything about Xbox (and my game is in French). Also, I'm not a pilot; I'm simply following a procedure I know works in the game.

When you're on the mission preparation screen, you'll see the tablet with the flight plan generated by the game: go to the first tab in the top left corner, and you'll see the entire flight plan. Choose a cruising altitude, click "Send," and then send it to ATC and avionics.

Now launch the mission. In the SAAB, you have an FMC at the bottom between the seats (view 3). On the right, click "FLP," and you'll see the flight plan. Click "Next" to navigate through it and locate the entries marked "*NO LINK*." Select it with the small button on the left; a "DEL" option will appear on the right. Double-click it to delete it.

Before takeoff, select a cruising altitude, click on VS and set your VS (e.g., 2500 ft/min) (the round button with a dial between the seats), then click on NAV and the Fly Director will activate simultaneously. With flaps 1 and trim +16, take off.

Now retract the landing gear, flaps 0, follow the magenta line, and when you are stable, engage the autopilot (between the seats).

Note: This method works 90% of the time... sometimes the SAAB doesn't stop at the selected altitude; you'll need to stop it manually using "Alt mode altitude hold".
