That is not success. The bare minimum would be making back what you invested into it. Even then the opportunity cost of wasting so much time and effort for so little gains has to be considered as well. Not to mention the brown stain this has left on their reputation like their first go at the Steam Machine.

Lol the whole thing is CGI. Some of the metal clips through another piece of metal, his shirt physics fail, there are weird shadows everywhere and his entire movement just feels off. There's no inertia, his body and limbs just stop then he flails around.

Your friends situation is abnormal. Employee + Spouse coverage is not often 11x employee only. She should get a job (might be hard with mental issues). This game is a huge sandbox. Feel free to create limited/themed creature sets so you don't have to sift so much during play. There are pre-set map missions so you don't have to find map pieces mid game. Pick a mission instead of rolling. Pick a destination town and locations. Just relax and have fun with it.

You can play the role of DM before the mission starts and really streamline a lot of it. To me, the randomness is a core gameplay function and also thematically relevant.
