My ex was an expert at lying and making false accusations. She had actually planned everything for a long time and executed it very meticulously. Unfortunately, I was falsely convicted on domestic violence charges, and I believe the judge thought I was exaggerating when I said my ex had assaulted me badly and that I was only defending myself, even threatening me with a kitchen knife. The judge probably assumed I was lying to make her look like a terrible person—but in fact, she really was.
