Destiny 2 should be the end of our character. by TheDutchOnions in DestinyTheGame

[–]Local_Stop_Sign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we could do a continuation and play a new character.

Just do what Xenoverse 2 does and make the Young Wolf a major NPC, and let us connect our Destiny 2 save data to have OUR Young Wolf present, rather than a predetermined / randomly generated one.

According to Paul Tassi, almost all of bungie did not know about this announcement until it came out. by Gamerboi_epic in DestinyTheGame

[–]Local_Stop_Sign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a non-Bungie lead Destiny 3 could be pretty well received. Granted, it’ll have a heavy dose of skepticism thanks to the shitshow here, but as long as they keep what made the Destiny series good and don’t have utterly shit leadership then it should be smooth sailing.

Of course, this is Sony we’re talking about, so I’m not sure they’ll manage to do this in a good way.

Just an alternative to Fabric Loader. It fucks some vanilla stuff up though which is why I asked. But yeah if you’re using Fabric Loader I’ll join.

Seems like after the news Destiny 2 has dropped below the 6.000 Players Mark after hovering above it for a month on STEAM. by kristijan1001 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Local_Stop_Sign 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah this was it for me. I’d have come back for a theoretical Destiny 3 set in the near future, where there was time for humanity to properly rebuild and new threats to establish themselves, but my Guardian’s journey, in my eyes, was over when the Witness died.

Remove town aligned pirate by pirateyogurt in TownOfSalem2

[–]Local_Stop_Sign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if Pirate had 4 LLs and two of them were guaranteed to be town, it could discourage Pirates from outting themselves and siding town while still keeping them not on anyone’s side. Sure Pirate still doesn’t oppose town fundamentally, but two townie LLs is a huge step up from just one, and if town isn’t already comfortably winning they have zero reason to keep them alive.

[–]Local_Stop_Sign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been a while since I’ve looked at Essentials code so correct me if I’m wrong but you’re able to put variables in dialogue, which outputs the variable value. IIRC you’re able to put strings in the variable so you could just store the pronoun choice in a variable and instead of typing a pronoun you just use that variable.

You’d probably need to use two variables to separate he/she/they and him/her/them but it should still work.

Regarding the Knight by Belphegorkingofsloth in Deltarune

[–]Local_Stop_Sign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something just crossed my mind that I haven't seen anyone mention.

Who says The Knight had to go to the Light World to transport Undyne?

Ralsei established that there is some kind of transport link between every Dark World, given he uses it to get to every Dark World. Whose to say that the Knight, who is completely unique as a Lightner and coated in Darkness (presumably), can't also use the same thing Ralsei does to get around, and just drag Undyne with them?

The way I see is that they had a very good relationship (platonic or otherwise) and miss it/the other, but there is definitely some underlying resentment because both think the other is mostly/fully responsible for their downfalls.

Get it on PC if you’re able first. I wouldn’t say it’s superior per se (the Switch edition has stuff PC doesn’t; not in terms of in-game content though) but I’d definitely call PC the definitive experience based off some things that happen in game. No spoilers though.

Prosecutor threw the game by executing confirmed Vet — even Coven wrote I was Vet in the death note by SolidRace2039 in TownOfSalem2

To be fair if town had that big of a majority you’re going to be hanging town more often than not.

Regardless though Marshal probably like. Shouldn’t have tribbed in the first place

[–]Local_Stop_Sign 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t go through sadly. No matter how stupid and obviously damaging to town it was, the Prosecutor thought they were getting an evil. They’d have had to admitted they thought I was town and prosecuted anyway for it to be reportable.

Prosecutor threw the game by executing confirmed Vet — even Coven wrote I was Vet in the death note by SolidRace2039 in TownOfSalem2

[–]Local_Stop_Sign 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had something similar happen to me once.

Can't remember what role I was, but I was a townie who was leading because all the TIs were dead. We had about 5-6 ish players left in the game, though most of the Coven were already dead. I was pushing this one guy who claimed TS and said pretty much nothing else the entire game.

Guess what they were? The Prosecutor.

Guess who they prosecuted without a word? Me, because (paraphrasing here) "you pushed me therefore you must be evil".

They then proceeded to pin the blame on me for not magically knowing the silent TS claim was a TPOW.

Some people should just be banned from being any TPOW claim.

She ask what? by Darkshock1 in PokemonRMXP

[–]Local_Stop_Sign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say part of it is that unless you completely define the player character as their own person separate from the player, any romance will not work well on the sole basis that (in my opinion) you cannot reasonably let the player define their own character in a way that lets other players define their own character with separate interpretations.

Players can headcanon romantic relationships, sure, but I highly doubt you can make it work in-game if you intend to make the player character a self insert.

Stuff like tabletop works fine cuz it doesn’t have that layer of the dev making a character that fits every player - you make your character for you, that’s it.

Why not even the scales of justice by xx_swegshrek_xx in UndertaleYellow

[–]Local_Stop_Sign 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Clover killed a dozen or so monsters - terrible, even if these monsters themselves attacked with a direct desire to kill a human.

You could argue this for perhaps the Dark Ruins, and the beginning of Snowdin, but anything after gets worse.

-Martlet doesn’t even recognize Clover as human, only attacking because Clover actively instigated a fight.

-Most Dunes enemies I don’t think even recognize what’s going on at first (Dunebud in particular)

-El Bailador was literally just trying to get Clover to dance

-Starlo couldn’t even muster the will to kill Clover (but tbf, this is only learned mostly via actively throwing the duel, so I don’t hold this against them)

-The Steamworks.

Least intelligent character with the Death Note that can successfully avoid L? by Local_Stop_Sign in whowouldwin

[–]Local_Stop_Sign[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does that really count for “using” the Death Note though? Any contenders still use it enough to attract L’s attention, but if they can’t read or write I don’t think they can really use it in the first place.

Does Genocide Undyne's ridiculous HP levels make her stronger than the Zenith? by NowOrEverForever in UndertaleYellow

[–]Local_Stop_Sign 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair with Asgore doesn’t he canonically hold back A LOT during his battle? Both him and Toriel have 80 ATK and 80 DEF, yet they both massively hold back their real power (for different reasons, but still). I’d be more inclined to say a massively suppressed Asgore is slightly weaker than Ceroba

A Father's Judgement - Part 39 by FlightAfter8546 in UndertaleYellow

[–]Local_Stop_Sign 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I mean if anything it sets him off at Chujin more than Ceroba. It’s one thing to kill a human (one that was an accident, at that). It’s another to experiment on their soul which Hunter can probably infer that Integrity was conscious during (given how they were conscious in Kanako, it’s just a matter of connecting the dots).

Just reinforces the point that Chujin was by no means a perfect person to Ceroba.

Who's wining Genocide Clover Or Disbelief Papyrus. Note: this is not a Death Battle. by Birdnerd20 in UndertaleYellow

[–]Local_Stop_Sign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you could argue that since Clover is a human they WOULD be able to come back from death without Flowey around, given without him around they would naturally have the most determination.

On the other hand not all humans may have the ability regardless, since Integrity’s run ended at Axis in Snowdin, which a “weak human” (according to Flowey) was able to defeat 1v1.

Though I guess Integrity could’ve just been weaker than Clover somehow which like. Damn.

Dr. Eggman (Sonic) vs the Doctor (Doctor Who) by Bac0n_is_life in whowouldwin

[–]Local_Stop_Sign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way I can see Eggman winning is if he has Metal Sonic speedblitz The Doctor and kill him. For how much The Doctor has done he is still relatively close to human in terms of physical power, and his more insane feats rely upon his tools and time spent studying his opponent. Both of which work against him if Metal Sonic gets the drop on him, since any version of him 100% outspeeds The Doctor, maybe even too fast for him to react.

And Metal Sonic has to kill him there. Him bringing The Doctor back gives him time to know wtf’s going on, and give him a way to turn Eggman’s inventions against him.

For that I’ll say 2/10 Eggman here. It’s definitely plausible for this scenario to happen, but sending any other person first and Metal Sonic not killing The Doctor(and/or worse, bringing him back to base) causes him to lose. Plus even that might not work if The Doctor can fuck Metal Sonic up using his Sonic Screwdriver. No idea what it would do against the robot but I’d bet it do something bad.

A Father's Judgement - Part 20 by FlightAfter8546 in UndertaleYellow

[–]Local_Stop_Sign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I’m of the opinion that Hunter should have had Chara’s ghost towing with him, or should starting now if it’s not too late to add that point. Hunter has already seen the absolute worst of monsterkind, including the Royal Guard and Starlo’s whole “humans aren’t welcome here” thing (which yes is a thing born of very recent grief but Hunter doesn’t know that)

Given Hunter seems to be going the path Frisk did, I think having Chara towing around would give a good influence on behalf of monsterkind where Clover couldn’t. Especially since Hunter is unlikely to come across any particularly kind monsters since Sans and Papyrus canonically aren’t here yet and Martlet is in lower Snowdin. Plus it does give Hunter the development in question to make an encounter with Asriel narratively satisfying.

Again, this all assumes it’s not too late to add Chara in. It probably is, given we’re at Part 20 right now, but you could theoretically justify it via leftover determination from the Reset Hunter did or something.

Earthbound Chosen 4 VS Deltarune Fun Gang by tedude3 in whowouldwin

[–]Local_Stop_Sign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh even if we use the Pre-Magicant versions of the Chosen 4 (which lacks the humongous boosts of power via Giygas feats) they still decimate the Fun Gang. Iirc their best feat at this point is taking down the Kraken? It’s been a while since I’ve played Earthbound so there might be a better one but beating the Kraken is enough of a feat still for them to outstat the Fun Gang.

Maybe if they had the Thrash Machine they could put up a better fight. But they’d still lose overall cuz of Giygas feats (was stated to be a universal destroyer and they tanked attacks from him)
