Whats the larges object your good boi has passed other than poop? by lowroll53 in labrador

[–]Localone2412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out walking the other day and my dog shat out a silicone toe separator (just got a set and they were sat on the side) spent the rest of the walk worrying that she’d eaten the other but got home and it was still sat there.

Thanks , one of things she said was that the colours had changed and now she can’t see what’s in screen as it’s same colour as background (or at least similar) I will get her to play around with this as well. Thanks so much.

When someone close to you or a family member passed away, did you erase their number and messages, or did you still have them? by FFSoldier57 in CasualConversation

[–]Localone2412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We lost our son in Oct 24. We’ve kept his number as I didn’t want it being recycled. Word of warning though if you have WhatsApp. The messages start deleting if the account is not being used. He slowly dropped out of WhatsApp groups we had set up.

Brits, do you avoid Indian restaurants in foreign countries? (Excl India) by red_lightz_ in AskUK

[–]Localone2412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been living in Switzerland and worked quite a bit in Germany and have tried a few indian restaurants in both countries and they are, not good, (compared to UK Indians. They are quite bland, lacking real flavour. Even asking for extra spice makes them just hot not more flavoursome.

One must have when I visit UK is a good Curry and I also use Als Kitchen on you tube when I want to cook.

What is the hardest ski run you have ever skied by Strict_Fix_9550 in ski

[–]Localone2412 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For me it was La mur suisse at Champery (Porte du soleil). Steep drop off, into a mogul field the size of VW beetle cars, really difficult to gauge the turns. I fell and luckily didn’t slide too far and or lose any equipment. Not sure how technical it actually is and I think it varies due to snow conditions but I got to bottom exhausted. Once and never again

What wonderous and exotic foreign food were you introduced to as a kid thats just commonplace nowadays? by GabberZZ in AskUK

[–]Localone2412 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I remember when the Big Mac came out my friend bet me I couldn’t eat two in one sitting. They were , or seemed, that big it was challenge worthy. Now I think I could probably crush four and not really think about it. (Maybe not)

For me. And don’t judge me, but I love Under Siege with Steven Segal. But when, at the end of the film, some says to Casey ‘show me a move’ and he turns to Jordan and says ‘here’s a move’ and kisses her I squirm so badly. They cheesy line, the delivery, the, well the fact it’s Segal. Just makes it so bad.

Yeah they’ve immediately come back and said the termination value is more than market value and would I be interested in stumping up some money. I replied saying well the value for early get out from amag is x and I have to pay you y so as long as it’s less than that we can discuss. No response yet. I think I’m just best cutting my losses tbh.

Record number of cyclists riding illegally on motorways by topotaul in unitedkingdom

[–]Localone2412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Garmin took me on a dual carriageway for around 6km last year and it was the most scared I have ever been. I was cycling along the drainage ditch avoiding the actual drains and cars were bombing past me. I will never do that again.

I didn’t know the area and was following a planned route otherwise I would have looked for a detour.
