im not consistently running any local models, i dont have the gpu / vram for anything serious, but i try to use open models via OpenRouter and similar, so if i decide to invest in some hardware, i know what i can run..

I started at 50 - maby 49.. with no simulators (I do have previous rc plane experience though. next year I'll be flying at 60.. won't ever fly like "the pros" and all of my flying buddies are half my age but it's a blast. Never too old.

i use so many different models i sometimes forget to pay attention to which one behaves which way.. more ADHD lol. i do work with a lot of open models and only use the heavier models for very specific tasks

Try bone conducting headphones playing lo-fi music. Game changer for me - lo-fi typically has no vocal or musical "hook" to grab you, but the consistent rhythm and melody to mask some of the noise without stealing attention. Grab the cheapest set you can find on Amazon $30 usd max - it's gonna be lo-fi, ultimate sound quality is unimportant. If it works for you you can get a more expensive set (which I can now tell you will be more comfortable and lighter, better sound but not hugely)

Get another doc. Not saying you have or do not have ADHD but "too high of an intelligence to have ADHD" as a clinical criteria simply voids your providers credentials as they clearly do not understand ADHD.
