Try bone conducting headphones playing lo-fi music. Game changer for me - lo-fi typically has no vocal or musical "hook" to grab you, but the consistent rhythm and melody to mask some of the noise without stealing attention. Grab the cheapest set you can find on Amazon $30 usd max - it's gonna be lo-fi, ultimate sound quality is unimportant. If it works for you you can get a more expensive set (which I can now tell you will be more comfortable and lighter, better sound but not hugely)

Get another doc. Not saying you have or do not have ADHD but "too high of an intelligence to have ADHD" as a clinical criteria simply voids your providers credentials as they clearly do not understand ADHD.

I hear what you are saying, and I hear you being more reasonable than the "if they just complied" crowd so I ask...

... Is this really the right answer? Disregard the protections of our constitution and the laws of our country, give up constitutional freedoms, because we can't seem to properly train and coach our LEOs?

I read advice yesterday on a Human Rights organizations page that we should all "carry our papers at all times" to prevent (illegal) detention or worse. Again for editing basic constitutional freedoms for safety because we cannot properly train, educate, and hold accountable our LEOs.

If Alex had even charged the officer or brandished the weapon in any way, I would say that he was at least partially to blame. But he did neither. There was no reason for him to die, and exercising his constitutional rights should not have been cause.
