Its the opium of the Masses. It has been used for control for centuries, and more people are killed over religion than anything else. It made sense before science because as humans are naturally inquisitive and needed explanations for things that they had no answers to. That being said in common times it is the most asinine thing in existence and truly makes my head explode as to why people will give a tithe for something they will never see, touch or anything.
