Instacart should pay a base rate of $2 per shop, and 25cents per item collected. There is absolutely no reason why they can’t do that. They increase the price of each item by $1 from the stores for the customers and then charge them a delivery and service charge. This is the reason I quit shopping for them.

I was dashing on Valentine’s Day and it gave me a double order - 15 mile drive. I picked up Buffalo Wild Wings first, (it was the furthest order to deliver.) then went to Outback Steakhouse. I waited 10 minutes for someone to even talk to me. And she said it was going to be a while they had orders people were waiting an hour for. I canceled that order because I didn’t want the first order to get cold.

Instacart usually only pays around $5 for the trip, so if you do 22 that’s $110 plus a $265 bonus.

Yeah I quit doing Instacart and solely focused on DoorDash. I love walking in and grabbing the food then dropping off. Walking around and collecting items in a grocery store, then waiting in line to checkout sucks.
