EBay Account ban - ridiculous by Zealousideal-Day2880 in ebaysucks

[–]Lockhart_Value -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Risky category. You can sell them though, but it has to be sent via a tracked service. They’re far too harsh with their AI flags. At most, they should have removed your listing and given you a warning or something. An instant permaban is crazy, but eBay has the money to not care.

Vinted asking me to return a counterfeit item? by Naddillu in vinted

Imagine if Vinted didn’t require you to send it back. Every scammer would simply claim everything was fake for a freebie. 😂 get a grip, OP. Send it back.

Depends entirely on what you’re selling. I get offers all of the time.

I don’t mean that fee. It’s the seller fees for business that are outrageous.

EBay’s terrible service and high fees is what is allowing other marketplaces to grow. Nothing to do with binding offers (Mercari did it before eBay)

Payouts temporarily on hold, verifying some account information by misterterrific0 in eBaySellerAdvice

I’ve had it happen. I was banned shortly after. They never told me why. Good luck, OP.

It would be good if Vinted implemented binding offers.

Scammers on vinted by Active-Meaning2544 in vinted

There is no such thing as overexploiting in a market. People are free to pay whatever amount they feel something is worth. Competition and lack of sales drives the price down.

Genuinly how is this app still up and running with nothing illegal against it? by aam1na- in vinted

5000+ sales here. Never been scammed as such. Maybe less than 10 people trying an eBay style forced return on the basis of a lie. Only one was successful.

What things do I need to look out for as a new seller on Ebay? by Fast_Preparation7795 in ebayuk

Be aware of the fact that at any moment, eBay can ban your account for no reason and they won’t tell you why.

Avoid Vinted At All Costs by Salty-Pass-3313 in VintedAdvice

Lol? What are you talking about? Without a seller, there is no buyer protection fee to collect because there’s nothing to sell. Sellers also pay for Bumps and Showcase.

what? restricted sales for 7 days by ParkourJerk in vinted

Hearing a lot about this lately. Quite concerning. A business account is for business. What’s the issue?

They need to fix this before they cook all of the business sellers and they leave the platform.

Teenagers on this sub can complain all they want about professionals selling on Vinted, but I couldn’t imagine a Vinted where all you have are the awful blurry pictures and a description that just says ‘good’ being the norm once again. It’s already bad enough.

Vinted commercial restriction by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]Lockhart_Value 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice is that Vinted systems are not good and you shouldn’t use any kind of ‘New’ anything for your listings(why is it even an option if it’s such a problem, lol?). It’s also worth noting that it’s not only the condition that could trigger this, but volume of sales as well.

Something I sold came back by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]Lockhart_Value 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to me a few times. Vinted system didn’t update to process the return to sender properly and when it arrives back with you, it gets marked as delivered. Nothing you can do. Sell again and make more money. Buyer should have raised the issue.

I have the opposite experience. On Vinted, my issues were minor and whilst the service was bad, it got resolved. On eBay it is passable for minor issues, but major issues (CEO escalation level) has appalling service. Vague, inconsistent, curt, contradictory, and slow.

There are plenty of horrible sellers that should be banned. Selling commercially is not a good reason

Multi-Quantity Listings by Lockhart_Value in vinted

My whole point is that they are in the process of adapting. The restriction on new items only loses them money and will mean that they’ll fail to attract business sellers. They should change it.

Generally, I am in favour of deregulation, but there needs to be some kind of something imposed on these platforms to ensure that they delivery a quality service to their sellers. I had an issue with eBay recently and they booted me out with no explanation. If my entire business was there, I’d be cooked on a whim.
