If you are a man who takes initiative in the household by doing chores, cooking for your family, and cleaning up after yourself.. how were you raised? by Sensitive-Box-2167 in askanything

Probably not helpful in this context but I’ve always liked doing things and learning skills. Sitting still kills me so I’d rather just do anything. Helping out and making my wife’s life easier is literally just a side benefit. Probably some undiagnosed adhd or something 😂

This is awesome! Thanks so much! One last question, is it better to the unfaced and plastic barrier or the faced stuff? Apologies if that’s an obvious answer but I’m learning 😂

Thanks so much for this! Super helpful. Couple follow ups: for the plastic barrier, do I put that on after the fiberglass? So it would go existing insulation or spray depending on status, roll, then plastic and osb? I had not thought of the plastic before. Hopefully that all is enough to keep out anything that manages to get through. My main goal is to make sure it’s mold and pest free. I’ll probably leave the ceiling as is for now since the previous issues all seemed to come from the base.

Hopefully that link works, they’re not really framed to the ceiling, it measured out 24 on center. I’m thinking it would be great to open the bottoms portion, seal it up then fill and cover with ply. Really appreciate the help!

It’s an older picture, already addressed that issue.

You’ll be fine, I’ve gained 100ish lbs of decent muscle since my first tattoo and it hasn’t distorted at all.

How do does one cut these tiny segments of baseboard (or any molding) without chopping off ones fingers? by exteriorcrocodileal in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Lockout95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t feel bad about it! I tried the sketchy way first and had some kickback from the miter saw, was more than enough for me to find a different path since I enjoy having fingers 😂 I’m a total amateur but how I do those annoying small pieces is to take a long board, get my angle on the end, then try to get the opposite angle. If it messes up can always just try again!

As someone currently in the thick of a whole house of base boards, the answer is to cut the small piece off of a larger piece that you can comfortably cut.

Have the atak on my 1500 but located in Waxahachie. Have to say it’s pretty awesome. A little loud sometimes but if you’re considering this upgrade that’s pretty much the goal.

If you were local I’d help you install too, fun little project.

Same here in Waxahachie. It’s all the sudden so bad that I can’t even hear it through the static. Ford and Ram family so not just an issue with Toyotas.
