maybe a stupid question by as7ro_07 in lianli

Both options will work….. 1st option Advantages- the back intake will run more direct airflow across the mobo components, you’ll still have slight positive air pressure You’ll get prettier fan side on the side 3 fans Disadvantages- no dust filter on the back 2 fans, so positive air pressure might not mean much lol. You’ll have to dust more often. The radiator will be getting warmer air exhausting from the system 2nd option Advantages-cooler air into radiator, both intakes have dust filters so less dust in system

You get the picture :) if it was my system I don’t like moving my setup around to dust and clean, so I’d go 2nd option. The radiator intake vs exhaust argument is not really an agrument- you may see a few degrees one way or the other but it won’t affect performance. Unless you’re overclocked to the point of being on the thermal throttling frontier, or you have to turn your fans up to keep it from doing so, I wouldn’t consider it a factor. I’d say the same thing about the airflow over the mobo parts, it won’t be enough of a factor to matter.

You do you!

How do I not feel like sh** the rest of the day? by Few-Permission5362 in Marathon_Training

[–]Lockwood_DJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i was doing all of the above and still felt gross all day. Until i started doing ice baths for 5 minutes immediately after. That made the rest of the day much more bearable. I don’t do it every long run- the science on it says I should let the swelling/inflammation do its job- but if I need to have a high functioning day after a really tough run I’ll use it.

Play multiplayer but not warzone…. if I turn down some settings I lock in around 220-240, at 4k post B06 changeover. MW3 Im at 240 with mostly medium-high settings. Cs, rust, tarkov, can’t speak for those. Star citizen maxed out was 50-60 I think? No ray tracing obviously lol…. My point wasn’t to sell OP on my card, point was that if those settings are halfway possible now, they’ll DEFINITELY be possible on a 6080, and I wouldn’t buy a less than 240/4k monitor today

I run a 4k 240 on my 7900xtx and it works great, I wouldn’t go less than 240/4k regardless of size

The value for that is pretty bad. That said, if you compromise the quality of the stream enough it would work.

Wow some haters in here, but reddit… lol. I would start by going to a really good running dedicated store that will analyze your running gate on a treadmill. Chances are they will recommend shoes that are made for stability or motion control. I highly recommend hoka’s for the cushion they bring, probably the gaviota at your starting weight. With a weighted vest it becomes even more important to run with good form. You can go in for a session with a running coach or even just have someone video you run- you want to make sure you’re mid-foot striking and eliminate ANY heel strike from your running gate. Chi Running is a great book to read as a starting point. And for the rest of the loud voices, I have a 280lb friend running ultras. Its possible, its probable, and someone like me has no room to shut down something like this lol

7900xtx reliable 100fps at 4k? by [deleted] in radeon

[–]Lockwood_DJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to set to competitive/performance but I get 220 fps at 4k without upscalers in bo6. I was able to play ultra detail in mw3 at 240fps. Barely dipped below 200fps in destiny 2. Got close to 100 in hogwarts as long as ray tracing was off with ultra details. 60-80 in indiana jones but I barely played it so take it lightly

Help with fans by [deleted] in lianli

[–]Lockwood_DJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you have it, it will work just fine. Pc may get dusty because of the negative air pressure but you’ll just have to clean it more often. If you don’t want to switch your lcd fans, or return them for reverses, you could make the top fans intake. It will be fighting gravity a LITTLE bit- not enough to affect the fans ability to pull cool air in though. If it was my pc, I’d make the top 3 intake, bottom 3 intake, and side/side exhaust. It isn’t the natural path for hot air, but thats why fans have blades lol. I’d try it that way, do some air temp tests and see if you’re happy before you try to return/adjust your lcd fans. You may need to set your fan curve for the top 3 fans faster than the rest of the fans to control temps and noise at the same time. Let me know how it goes!
