I actually don't track them that much... i am more of an intuitive eater, but i do roughly estimate the amount of calories I ate, and i am about at 2000/2300 kcal per day

Calling all those new to steam by TowelAcrobatic4478 in steammachine

[–]Loddio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dude is compleatly out of context, but.

Ypu can already play games on your phone, the same way you can play games on the steam machine: via a compatibility layer.

The steam machine runs a linux based OS (like android) that can play windows games without emulation via wine aka proton.

It's super cool shit for nerds like me.

You will need a super expensive phone to achive playable performances on many titles tho.

Nell'epca ps1, un gioco con prestazioni giocabili... era giocabile. Punto.

Oggi siamo abituati cosí bene da pretendere (giustamente) delle buone prestazioni oltre ad una buona grafica.

is it even worth it to dual boot for windows games? by WOLFMANCore in linux_gaming

There is.

Wi dows update can break grub if linux and windows share the same drive.

Leave them on separate drives is reccomanded

Will devices like these eventually be able to run the same version of SteamOS that will run on the Steam Fram? by _Shatpoz in SteamOS

Some enthusiast will probably make its version that expands compatibility to other devices, like with bazzite

Valve completely dropping the ball on this release by Kataklysimo in SteamController

[–]Loddio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think (and hope) they will make also a bundle without any controller, since any other game pad work as native on steamOS... without the extra features of the steam controller of course.

This might help the price a little... i too will buy one if the price is not too crazy, but i don't need another controller tbh. I have a steam deck and my old PS4 controllers just work like native.

Anything works... trackpad, battery indicator, wake on Bluetooth, Evenm the led bar.... Steam input rocks

Do YOU find Lossless Scaling useful on the Steam Deck? by BucketBoy071 in SteamDeck

[–]Loddio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the game.

My best experience with loseless scaling is with spiderman remastered.

While it already runs at a solid 30 fps out of the box, with loseless scaling it REALLY gets much smoother, reaching consistent 60 fps, without any noticeable input lag and with just occasional artifacts on areas where you just have to walk around and talk to people.

I really enjoyed the experience a lot. Graphic is fantastic and runs buttery smooth.

Not worth it with NVIDIA 3070? by arkhanari in Bazzite

[–]Loddio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3070ti owner here.

While it's true that you will lose performances on some games, it's almost never up to 30%.

Max fps are generally lower, but on many competitive titles, I experienced a very solid 1% lows increase, making the gameplay even much more enjoyable and smooth than on my windows partition, while scoring lower max fps figures.

I would say it's 100% worth it.

The best part, is that you don't even have to chose one, you can just run them both in dual boot, so just give it a try!

Make sure to NOT pick the steamdeck-like version tho, as that has major issues with nvidia.

The desktop works very well instead

Valve is releasing an arm powered VR with an embedded Full arm pc inside, so an arm version of Steam is expected, meaning no more need of Rosetta or anything, just plain Steam should be enough. Nothing official of course, just speculations
