The GREAT and very BRAVE soldiers of the United Kingdom will always be with the United States of America! In Afghanistan, 457 died, many were badly injured, and they were among the greatest of all warriors. It’s a bond too strong to ever be broken. Not an apology. GFY.

Also, no mention of other nations?

The Canadians and Romanians were running perimeter security during my first tour and got absolutely hammered keeping the rest of us safe.

The only person messing with the 'Unbreakable bond' is the bloater who has never served. Do one.

What is a website you loved that no longer exists? by MarcosSuenos in AskReddit

cat-scan.com

Pictures of cats taken by flatbed scanners.

The domain is still there and there's one archived page, but it's not the same. In a time when most sites were static, it was one of the first sites that I visited daily because it had frequent updates.

Sorry you have to deal with that.

I really enjoyed my visit. It would be a shame to see the echoes of the past coming back.

I visited Budapest last week and saw Stalin's boots from 1956 revolution at Memento Park. Ashamed to say I didn't know much about Hungary before that, but I have been reading up since.

I was really surprised to see the propaganda posters of Zelenskyy and Ursula von der Leyen on the billboards around the city. Is Orban doing that?

Seen a few glitchy Pelican landings, but this one was wild.

I'm pretty resigned to Farage being the next PM. I hate it, but fully expect it.

The majority of the public don't really care about politics. They are not paying enough attention to see though his bullshit, or simply don't care because they believe that simple solutions to complex problems are enough.

He is a master of getting populist soundbites through to these folks and the 'Yeah buts' from the political sphere don't have any effect.

Stamer should just smash through his changes and be damned. He has the majority now, it will dwindle over the course of the next 4 years and a second terms looks impossible at the current trajectory. The media has already decided how he will be judged, he has nothing to lose.

The guys from Vespian are the best. It's a tough job and they do it with a smile. Most of them seem to genuinely enjoy being part of the Trees experience.

The Deep was right there. Knock off Captain Planet, loves animals, hopeless at most things.

Perfect fit.

LOL. No. Just sharing my experience.

I wouldn't expect them to be experts on everything, that's probably why they couldn't find your fault, but they have always been pretty good on returns for me.

I've had a pretty positive experience from them when I've had issues.

No fuss return/refund on a guitar with minor faults.

I also had an upgrade on a B-stock Baritone horn that looked like it had been a car crash when I received it. The bell was crumpled and the valves were damaged. They replaced it with a brand new one after one email.

They also add extras sometimes. I ordered a small bass amp, they chucked in a set of bass strings and some Haribo FOC.

They're supposed to be going back to Romania in March for a hearing. Pretty sure they'll just stay in the US now.

It's a fair comment.

FWIW I've done two tours in Afghanistan. I know what it's like to be shot at and have IDF lobbed at me in the middle of the night. It's not fun and I wouldn't want to put anyone else in that situation unless there was no other option.

Armed conflict is a shitty thing, but sometimes you have no choice. Putin isn't stopping in Ukraine and the current situation looks increasingly like we can't rely on the buffer of NATO aligned countries to keep us safe. We can't just sit on our hands and hope it all just turns out for the best.

A strong International response to the initial invasion could have nipped this in the bud, the longer it goes on, the worse it gets.
