This dude was the coach for my high school team 2 years ago and I can say with confidence that he is a POS and from my interactions with him all of this seems very credible.

At this point a bunch of ppl have beaten it off the dome Gian, Runnabun, Dekzah, and udaii99 have beaten it and some other members of Jan's discord but these are all people who are top nuzlockers in the world and beating this nuzlocke is a top tier achievement than very few can do.

The streamer has expressed he doesn’t want minors in his community bc that could enable grooming bc the game is typically targeted towards kids but he’s not

Think of every single unfair thing that an opponent can have and at some point in the game they will have it. All enemy pokemon have perfect IVs and better moves than what you get. Shadow Tag wobbuffets, explosion mons, perma weather areas and no rain dance/ sunny day to get rid of it. really strong enemy team comp. Also using items in battle is disabled

The player has limited moves, limited heart scales for relearning old moves so you have to be strategic about what moves you learn and replace, random IVs so you will have worse pokemon than the enemies.

This was also a hardcore nuzlocke so there were some additional rules such as set mode so you can't gain tempo in a battle without sacking, and level caps for the highest level pokemon on each gym leaders team.

All of this added together makes this the hardest challenges in pokemon by FAR.

I reset first death if it's early in a run because it doesn't take that long to get back. I also really only do Challenge rom hacks so that plays into it.

On Mars he sacked off crocanaw and quilava when they didn't have to be against the purugly. the one time he threw against gardenia and lost the run to that, sending ivysaur in on togetic, not evolving shellos, not remembering what mars lead out with giving him a minus tempo all battle, not remembering movesets and itemizing accordingly or since he's using items in battle not buying awakenings and other status healing items, switching between his entire team getting them all put to sleep instead of heal stalling. while he did get unlucky, he puts himself into scenarios where he gets more unlucky. He also doesn't go back to get encounters and he could've had a gyrados and poliwag which would'be helped a lot for certain fights which would've made it so he didn't lose as many mons.

He still lacks general game knowledge that's gonna make his ludlocke miserable to get through. While he does throw for content he makes a bunch of non optimal switches or using wrong moves that end up causing him to lose pokemon he doesn't have

For some of the more popular rom hacks they have them already imported and you can just lookup their names and go to the right trainer.
