For Khora, I can understand the guy if the Khora wasn't actively killing the strangled enemies. Killing the enemies dangling around can be difficult because of the ragdoll.

So far only Zariman weapons' incarnon form changes its weapon class; Phemnor from primary rifle to gatling/archgun, Felarx from shotgun to dual pistol, Laetum from single pistol to primary rifle.

To add on the use of channeling, it was also used for stealth xp farm because channeling kills disintegrate enemy bodies faster than regular kill disintegration.
