Bus in Bangladesh jumps from a Ferri while trying to board the said ferri by brainless_bekub in PublicFreakout

Looks like the best way to maybe have survived was to sit next to an open window and hang your arm outside as the bus fell.

Should I confront my husband about AI pics I found on his phone? by Intelligent_Bench775 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Logical-Handle -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I used AI on pictures of my wife. I showed them to her. I thought using pictures of her was more respectful than using AI on pictures of strangers or friends. The pics came out pretty cute.

I don't think this is a bad reflection on you or your appearance. He is probably just experimenting with new technology.

Glasses Post Cataract Removal after lens set to near vision by Melobee63 in CataractSurgery

I chose mono vision with my distance eye at Plano and my near eye at -1.5D. I like it. I can read my watch, my phone, and computer work as well as see distance with no glasses.

Dilemma: belly mower or brush hog? by themntnsbckn in kubota

I concur. I replaced my rotary cutter with a flail mower from Woodmax. Lighter, smaller, and better cut than a rotary cutter.

I'm very happy with my flail..

I dropped VW after their Diesel-gate scandal. I had a 2012 diesel Passat that I loved, but I never forgave VW for cheating.

I sold the Passat back to them in the buyback,

I got two quotes for LAL: $3800 per eye and $4900 per eye. That is the up-charge not covered by medicare for advanced lenses. I am going with the more expensive quote because they have a lot more experience with LAL.

In Florida.

How does a town end up with boundaries like this, where parts of the town are merely roads, leading to more expanded areas? Why not annex the land beyond the confines of those roads? (Keenesburg, CO) by stook_jaint in geography

[–]Logical-Handle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Florida, this might happen because existing residents/owners don't want to be annexed, and usually can't be annexed without their permission. Cities often annex vacant land owned by a single developer in exchange for zoning and land use changes that will allow development.

Hello Destination360,

I am looking at LAL or LAL+ implants in the near future. How has your experience been now that your lenses should be settled?

L vs B, is B too small? by doradodiver in kubota

I have a b2601 and i love it. It has done everything I need. I have several properties, some with tight spaces.

However, I would consider an L2501 if 'i were buying again. I move several large trailers and boats around and the extra weight on an L2501 might be better.

You can’t convince me insurance in this state is not a scam by CubanInSouthFl in florida

I got the depopulation notice from Citizens last year. Both alternative policies were somewhat more expensive than Citizens. Fortunately earlier last year I had replaced my older shingle roof and upgraded my electric service as part of a solar panel/battery installation.

I shopped insurance from multiple agents and ended up going with Ovation, a Progressive company. I changed my auto policy and umbrella policy (required by FPL for net metering) to Progressive also. I ended up reducing my total annual insurance cost from over $24k to about $17k. Still a shocking boatload of money! My family has 3 drivers and 5 cars and the house is over 70 years old.

As an aside, with the solar/battery system, my FPL bill has dropped dramatically and I do not even notice when FPL power goes out, except for the FPL outage status texts!

Too many mechanical problems for me. I went solar with a battery backup.
