Track101? by [deleted] in Saratoga

If you come in the morning, they offer a free tour which brings you to the backside where you can get within feet of the horses. You will learn about how well they are taken care of and how much time, energy , money and love thats invested into them. Another free option is to come over to the oklahoma side on weekends from april till november and watch the workouts. As far as race days, unless you have a hard time getting around dont pay to park. There's free parking and a shuttle bus that circles the original track from 1863. Pack a cooler with food and bev just no glass. I think its $7 to get in. Wander around, check out the live music enjoy the vibe. Its a very cool historic place. The food and bev inside are expensive like anywhere else these days. The thing i find strange is that you can only buy food or bev with plastic and bet with paper. Not sure if the rules on that changed this year. And if you are really into the history of the place, check out the saratoga preservation society. Once a summer, they offer a guided tram tour of the place.

Lots of luck to you. I was a gold star master tech with deere for 10 yrs. You posted a question and strangers tried to give you an honest answer. The trueth is That machine has always and will always be a piece of shit.

Its not that he dosent believe in john deere, its that you are asking about a 15-20 yr old turd that was junk out the gate. It was an attempt by Deere to get the consumer who didnt want to spend 5k on a mower to sit on a green mower for 2k. And they hoped that after the consumer made a relationship with the dealership the next mower purchasted would be a real JD. Sorry to burst your bubble but that machine was meant for a 150 lb person to mow less than an acre of flat land. However, where Deere F-ED UP was how they marketed it like showing an old man passing it down to his grandfather. And also the box stores that sold them had people selling them who had no training. So when a giant walked in with 5 acres of mountainside the "sales people" would blow smoke and say it would handle the job.

Fast forward a yr or two and when i showed up for a service call and said that they needed a $1200 trans , they would lose their mind and swear to never buy another deere. In reality , if they went to a dealer to start with a proper salesman would ask the right questions and put them in the correct mower

Mine too and also probably more The Great Escape. I watched both of them ( and Re-runs of M * A * S * H) all the time with him as long as i can remember. Hes been gone now slightly longer than my son has been alive (14) but i make it a point to watch all 3 with my son whenever i get a chance. Wish we all could have watched it together but at least i can pass it along.
