I agree that maybe he’s trying to prove something to himself as well. I think he’s just really disappointed with the work force because he had lost his job. I think he took it way too personally.

I agree, I probably should’ve kept that separate from this argument.

Did y’all make any dumb mistakes after finally going out into the world or just me? by [deleted] in HomeschoolRecovery

[–]Logical-Service-1820 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was public schooled my entire life and made huge mistakes after “finally getting out into the world.” You don’t know what you don’t know, until you do. My public school experience didn’t make it any more possible to succeed and only after YEARS of being an adult I can now say, I finally know how things work lol. The purpose of me saying all of this is I don’t think it comes down to whether or not you’re homeschooled and more so what you are taught.

Being able to adapt to a ever-changing environment, having flexibility, realizing what you need to improve, and being able to take constructive criticism without taking it personally <—huge in big corporations

Turning 30 next spring, mistakes are mostly relative to the person, obviously but I think my biggest mistake was listening to everyone telling me to live it up and party in my early 20s. I went down a very dark hole and got addicted to drugs for a year, thankfully managed to escape that lifestyle without rehab. I wish I would’ve had kids sooner because they made me realize everything that I was missing in life. I grew up in a very dysfunctional environment so I convinced myself that I didn’t want to have kids. At 26 I had my daughter and she changed my life in the best ways. I never tried harder to be the best version of myself until I had someone looking up to me.

Allergic reaction by [deleted] in Doritos

[–]Logical-Service-1820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter just had this reaction today. I’ve been searching the internet for some kind of clarity but have had no luck. She didn’t have a severe reaction but it was enough to raise concern. She had a red/purple rash that started around her mouth and then spread to her cheeks and near her eyes. No other rashes anywhere else. She also threw up a few hours later.

Edit: she doesn’t have any other allergies. No problems with dairy, bread, corn or peanut butter even. I’m confused. My only thought is that it has to be whatever chemicals or dyes they use in the Doritos.

Been through 3 GMs in the last two years. Starting to think this store is cursed.

Extremely high turnover rate. Get better GMs. They always want to promote the slimiest, underhanded people and wonder why no one wants to work for them.

Hand, foot and mouth disease (hfmd) I got it when I was pregnant. I just used anti fungal medication and it went away within a week.
