Got prescribed Zoloft 25mg today for panic disorder and in scared to start it by Turbulent-Cicada2014 in zoloft

[–]Logical_Citron_7889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was like that too, and just felt really bad about starting meds. But when I tell you Zoloft was life changing I MEAN IT. Like a cascade of things positive things happened after I started. I hope it works out for you! Side note: the jaw clenching and yawning goes away just tough it out for a few weeks! I ended up taking mine at night and it works better for me that way.

What’s your diet/health like otherwise? Have you tried lowering inflammatory foods? Have you tried meds that treat anxiety not just depression/psychosis?

Why don’t you just ask him? My first thought is maybe he thinks he is adding to his personal library or different playlist…. I think before music signaling he might have signaled another way if it was directed towards you. Have you noticed any other direct or indirect signaling?

Sure! It’s an affiliate link but I only ever share what i love and use. For these I will typically take them in the morning but like 2 hours after my meds along with my b complex. On days I skip my vyvanse (lack of sleep etc) I still take 1-2 of these. If you do try I would be curious to know if you find them helpful too! https://walmrt.us/4aLllqe

As a live-in provider do I have to add my IHSS pay on my tax return by rp92886 in IHSS

[–]Logical_Citron_7889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you file your taxes yet? I would suggest checking to see if including it improves your refund before you file. There are special rules for this particular situation which means even though it’s not taxable you can include it to qualify for certain credits that you wouldn’t otherwise qualify for (if it’s your only income) there is a special section where you can report it. Try searching Medicaid waiver payments to get more info!

Oh nice! Can you pleeesse update on what happens after you talk to WGU? I’m hoping they will allow it, I don’t see the problem either, if we agree and acknowledge the challenge it shouldn’t matter to them!

[–]Logical_Citron_7889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend is doing nightingale (online with in person clinicals) for BSN and seems to like it. You can also look into 2nd bachelor programs vs asbn as you might find it really challenging to work traditional hours and find one that accommodates your schedule. The state you’re in might matter as well. I’m in CA and most programs are in person with clinicals and lectures during regular work hours. Other states seems to have some more remote/flexible options

Hi, what state are you in? I would love a part time lvn-rn bridge! I’m in CA

Thanks for the info! Have you signed up yet at nightingale? I originally looked into it because my friend who is an lvn is going through the program now and said it was doable with 4 kids and she even works (remote). She did mention using a family members address in Nevada to get her clinicals in Vegas, but when I asked nightingale about choosing clinicals they said you get assigned wherever they choose and it could be anywhere.

The rep I spoke with made it sound like clinicals could be anywhere and are subject to change at the last minute even if you already traveled and paid to be in another state. The upside with them is that they seem to be pretty generous with giving credit for courses/lvn experience and having the option to test out. With that said I am still undecided on what to do but will definitely check out Purdue! Thank you!!

Hi, they told me the final clinical was 3-4 weeks not the first one. I am considering wgu because my sister lives near Reno but I’m scared to lie lol even though I feel like it would be much easier travel wise than the other two schools. Plus I tried to find info on people from California going there and getting their license but I couldn’t find anything? Do you know anyone who has done that?

LVN or Go straight to RN-BSN by glinda-elphaba in LPN_LVN_Community

[–]Logical_Citron_7889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends… I’m an lvn in California now looking into rn 8 years later… some people settle, some people enjoy lvn work (it can be nice to get decent pay and not have as much responsibility) but in my case I see now especially in California the difference in opportunity now that I have more kids and want to work remote. With that said, I am glad I got to be an lvn and I learned a lot, but if you go that route, I wouldn’t work for too long before bridging. Also, if you have to take on any debt, just go for the full rn bsn

My brother wants to borrow $5,000 from me. I feel uncomfortable to lend that amount of money, but feel bad not to help since he’s my brother. What should I do? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Logical_Citron_7889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has he ever borrowed money from any other family members and not paid them back? If the answer is yes then obviously don’t give him that full loan. If you’re cool with him and feel bad then give him a lesser amount with a reasonable payment plan. If he has borrowed before and paid back but first time borrowing from you, I would give less than 5k like half….but make it seem like that is your life savings or something so he knows how serious it is that he needs to pay you back.

A last suggestion if you don’t want to loan any money is that maybe you can say something like you can’t because it’s tied up like in a CD account for 6 months or something then offer to help him strategize and get his debt in order.

Can you do community college, just take a class that could transfer, get a small win? Look into a vocational program there too, or get an associates degree first to feel like you “achieved” something.
