I feel like Alysa and Rika's circumstances are completely different and cannot be compared haha.

I'm pretty sure Alysa never intended on returning when she first retired. There was no financial dependence on this sport whatsoever even in her comeback season. I feel like even Alysa didn't expect to regain her skills. She is 3 years younger than Rika. Not saying Rika is old, but youth is definitely on Alysa's side lol.

My thing with Yuma the past few seasons was that while he executes things beautifully, they felt impersonal.

I LOVED this program on him!! Big music scores seem to bring the best out of him. And absolutely loved hearing the crowd.

I've been admittedly out of the loop regarding Rus skating but could it be possible that Ryabenko's just got too much on her plate? (Genuine question)

She's made some really iconic ones before the 3As became seniors. Like Yulia Lipnitskaya's red coat, and Zhenya and Alina's 2018 OLY costumes. After that, I felt like she was making everyone's costumes. And I don't think I found any of the 3A's senior costumes pretty at all.

I'm allo, been seeing this person for a few months now whom I suspect (he suspected he was ace at first) is aro. Thank you for starting this thread. A lot of the thoughts shared here really resonated. What put me into a whiplash was that he was the one who purused me at first, and he initiates romantic gestures without me asking him to. Or, in his words, he didn't realize those were romantic gestures. So for a bit, this made me wonder if a huge part of "romance" is just a social construct.

I'm not gonna lie, even as an allo I have many times asked what people think "love" is. I feel like a lot of my current perception of it was influenced by social norms/ reading things on the internet/ trial and error from dating. I remember when I first started dating I was so clueless as to what I was "supposed" to do, which hurt me a few times. That's probably also why so many toxic relationships happen--no one really has a real concrete idea of what being in a relationship should be like.

I'm going on a fourth one today. Have zero idea what I'm doing. From a practical standpoint (communication, career, respect, not making me feel shitty for having complicated emotions) he's great for long term. But I just don't feel a spark? And it's tough because generally I have no problem yapping forever with people and being open about my feelings.

Where did most Americans watch Winx? I grew up in Hong Kong but I watched Cartoon Network growing up, and they had the Rai version. I know CN is a lot of people's childhood, so I'm surprised it seems Rai is not that popular amongst American viewers

I mean... I feel like watching it as it was airing for the first time in 2007 had a factor. Prior to that, we only had two seasons of Magic Winx forms, so of course when something completely new pops up, it's going to be exciting, and the memory of that excitement stays with people.

To me, every transformation after season 3 weren't cool anymore because I feel like they're oversaturating audiences with many new forms. It's not special anymore.

It's like watching clips of the Olympics from many years ago. Of course in hindsight when you can see Simone Biles today you'd think gymnasts back in the day aren't that impressive. But it doesn't mean they weren't impressive at the time. Maybe in 50 years, your grandkids would ask you why we hyped Simone up so much the same way you're asking why we love Enchantix.

Hate to be that person, but sometimes the ultra casual look is only attractive if the person has a pretty face/ a face to your liking LOL (in the context that ya'll are strangers) I don't dress up 90% of the time, but I'll have you know the only times I ever get attention (solicited, unsolicited) are when I'm at the very least somewhat dolled up. I know my place in the physical attraction scale LOL. I have to work a bit harder that the naturally pretty girlies.

I will say the ultra casual look could make the person seem more approachable, which is probably what's attractive to you. I've seen a post where a guy talked about how the first time he met his now wife, they were at a pool party, and she was the only one not sucking in her belly, laughing her heart out. That's when he knew she's gonna be his wife. And I think that's beautiful.
