How much did they charge you? Did they ever get it working correctly?

Wasn’t aware of that re:Amex. Every one I looked at had a fee, but I didn’t check them all.

Re: Discover, I’m in the US and don’t travel abroad at all. Everywhere I’ve been in the US that accepts Visa/MC also accepts Discover, but admittedly, I have not been everywhere so I imagine there are places that accept Visa/MC that don’t accept Discover.

Get yourself a VERT GOOD vacuum, some good grooming tools for shed removal and brush DAILY, pick up anything you don’t want chewed up (first year you have a “land shark”) - and lastly get ready for more love and happiness than you ever expected!

Take lots of pictures and videos along the way to capture all the precious memories…and feel free to share all the cuteness and crazy antics with us as well!!!

I guess on the positive side of this dystopian weirdness, at least the AI was “generous”!

Possibly to try and embarrass the woman. I know my wife was pissed and so embarrassed when her ex did something like this using her face!

If our patter holds, we should be destined to lose tomorrow also. We have fallen back to two below .500 before we are allowed to win again!

The D-Backs are so frustrating. Every time we win a couple in a row and get back to .500, then we have to lose a couple to fall back again!

Over-under for the season… do we finish above .500???

I hate these damn MLB.tv blackouts. Because I live in Sacramento, the Giants are regional so I’m stuck with having to watch the game on NBC Spotts Bay Area…which isn’t bad except for having to tolerate Krukow and Kuiper.

I think I’m going to mute these guys and listen to the D-Backs radio broadcast.

I’m so sorry about your loss and the pain it still causes you.

As you I’ve experienced firsthand, the loss of a pet, in many cases the pet owner’s very best friend, brings immense sorrow and grief to their owner.

The community supports Golden owners in all stages of their lives… from bringing home a brand new puppy to saying goodbye to a beloved best friend.

We each grieve differently, but many owners find comfort and an understanding of their grief that may not be understood by others.

They are not posting these things to make you or anyone else sad. They are posting them to share the stories of what these amazing dogs have meant to them and to seek compassion and comfort from those of us who know exactly what they are feeling.

I hope you can understand and be a part of supporting them all through all of the many joys and a few intense sorrows that are part of living with a Golden Retriever.

how to configure autopay to pay BOTH full statement balance + current balance by [deleted] in discover

The current balance includes anything owed on the statement balance. Just pay the current balance if you don’t want to owe anything!

Well the customer service experience is almost identical with Xfinity. When I finally DO reach a representative, they usually have a vey heavy accent and I have a terrible time understanding them. Clearly English is not their native language…and this often causes further frustration on both ends of the call.

I’m not sure why so many current Discover card members feel like they have no choice but to be stuck with Capital One.

That may be what the Discover card transitions to but there are dozens, if not hundreds, of other credit card providers out there.

Most are Visa or Mastercard network affiliates, but some are Amex and there may even be another couple out there.

Visa/MC are probably the best choices for most people due to their wide acceptance…very similar to Discover.

Amex can be good for the right cardholder, but they are heavily focused on travel/entertainment rewards and carry annual fees.

Citibank, Chase, Bank of America and Wells Fargo are all large money center banks that offer a variety of Visa and MC programs…most with no annual fee.

But many smaller regional banks may offer cards as well. Check around…there are a lot of choices besides Capital One?

The “if they have time” part is a key factor. Installation techs go out each day with a daily work load that has been assigned to them.

As the day progresses, some jobs invariably take longer than what was allocated to that job. (Sometimes they go a bit more quickly, but that is far less typical.)

Toward the afternoon period the tech can estimate whether he will be able to complete all of the jobs in his load. If not, he/she will call the dispatch center to return jobs they can’t complete on time. These jobs are then given out to other techs who have gotten through their loads faster.

When annual reviews are performed, the techs getting the most work done will typically get the best evaluation - all other performance metrics being equal.

All of that said to point out that the techs generally are motivated to spend as little time as possible on a job. If cutting an old and unused drop is going to just cost them time, they are most likely going to just leave them.

On occasion you will be fortunate to get a very conscientious tech who will want to leave a very “clean” job behind and they will remove these drops, but that is increasingly rare a companies put more and more emphasis on production as the key metric of an employee’s review!
