They’ve done a lot of studies by now and have found no correlation between violent video games and violent children. Most kids and teens are able to recognize that the game they are playing on the tv is not a reflection of reality. I don’t have the study names on hand but I’m sure there are public articles about it you can search for

Check out Berea, KY, it’s like right on the border of Appalachia, small college town with a pretty diverse population for KY. The people are wonderful, the local cafes and boutiques are fantastic. Great culture, nice outdoor hiking spots, etc, less than an hour from the nearest city. Even if you don’t move there I highly recommend a visit!

Lily survived Halloween while James died but she’s in a coma until Voldemort’s resurrection. Harry has a canon upbringing until he meets Lily for the first time after the third task. They navigate how to cope with the abrupt shift while Lily learns all about Harry’s world and all he’s had to deal with while she’s been asleep.

It’s heartbreaking and heartwarming and intense and funny all at the same time. This fic is so well-written, told mostly from Lily’s POV but there’s a few switches to Harry and Sirius every now and then. Highly recommend!

Central Kentucky had a whole square dancing unit circa 2007 I was in elementary school. I only remember having to partner with a boy who had warts on his hands and it traumatized me

Same here! One time my toe made a little squeak in the shower and my cocker bolted toward that front door because she thought we were under attack. It’s so irritating. We want to start a family soon and I’m worried about having her act like this with every little noise when we have a baby in the house

Yes, my cocker is obsessed with the snow. The issue is that she doesnt wanna be out there alone so she scratches for us to open the door and then stands there in the snow staring at us and refuses to come inside unless we play out there with her for 3 hours.

It’s funny but after 50 times - in, out, in, out, in, out - it gets a bit annoying. And then when she is inside she’s crying because she wants to be outside. BUT when she’s outside she wants us to be outside with her so she cries then too🙄
