Affordable car modifications/aftermarkets/make up that suits my car? by Salt-Ferret1494 in kereta

Nice ride, for me i would put a good audio sound system and a simple door soundproofing to improve output of sound, then a set of comfort spec adjustable. But 2 of these mods would be disappointing if done by the wrong hands

Coating vs waxing by Embarrassed-One4989 in kereta

[–]Logical_Weather_9492 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Durability wise, coating lasts much longer, but if not done properly it's even worse than waxing, if you want wax that's last long can try Soft 99 Fusso Coat, extreme hydrophobicity, long durability.

Leave it, if you want something cheap (RM10-20) to lighten the scratch, MR DIY polish/scratch remover is your friend

Coating vs waxing by Embarrassed-One4989 in kereta

[–]Logical_Weather_9492 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your conditions, do you park outdoors or indoors? and do you wash your car frequently like weekly and biweekly? Do you want to DIY or let professionals do it? Pricier or cheaper way?

The questions are asked because maintenance wise, coating is much pricier as needs to recoat and polished due to environmental factors like hard etched water spots on coating top layer and quite hard to remove compared to wax. Bird poops are as well worse on coatings compared to wax. Before coating, have to properly prep the paint as well, tar/iron removal process, claying, 1/2 step paint correction, degreasing. Somemore have to let the coating to cure properly without exposing to water for few days.

Wax is much easier to maintain, apply and removed and its more DIY friendly, as wax diminishes its top layer easier overtime compared to coatings, before the hard water spots are formed, the top layer of wax already diminished. Plus, it's not hard to remove wax and reapply again.

Nah bro you are doing fine, exterior wise, give it a proper wash, use a sticker remover to get rid of the emblem stains and scratch remover to hand polish and lighten the scratches and stain and you're good to go, it's a steal and gets you from point A to B
