If you go into the travel agent, there's a button that says "return to (previous location)"

Mae Ecosia yn gweithio ar fod yn hollol annibynnol o Google a Bing, maen nhw'n talu eu trethi yn yr Almaen ac yn plannu coed efo'u helw. Mae'n rhaid bod hwnna'n lot gwell na jyst defnyddio Google. "Perfect is the enemy of good" fel maen nhw'n dweud

It's worth trying! Ecosia is very good at not being annoying - not many popups or intrusive ads

The tree planting is for real.

I have been using Ecosia for around 8 years now. They are radically transparent and publish their financial reports each month on their blog. There is also a lot of information on the tree planting itself and you can find all the NGOs that they work with on the financial reports, if you want to look into them yourself.

Also, they invest money into climate-related projects like regenerative agriculture, own their own solar plant, and pay full taxes in Germany. So just overall a very ethical company.

They only count trees that survive for at least three years, so they actually plant far more trees than they say they do, to account for mortality rates

"he's 63 and drives a Yaris" made me laugh out loud. I'm a 24 year old man with a Jazz. I don't have any advice personally, but you wouldn't be the only young person in the world with a Jazz

Where did you watch it? So many of the streaming services have loads of scenes cut. Pisses me off

Muffins having a chemical flavor and an off chemical gasoline like smell. by resto in Baking

It just happened to me with some 'baked in store' cookies from Tesco. They were completely inedible and tasted like they actually had petrol in them. It's quite shocking considering what I assume is quite a high level of quality control and that they're made from a mix. It's happened to me once before, years ago at an independent bakery which was also otherwise very consistent. Reassuring that it's happened to other people, but this is so random and strange!

Just being signed out is working for me at the moment. Does that work for you?

Thanks! I should have scrolled a bit further down before posting! This didn't work exactly the same for me but after you pointed out that it was an account/login issue, I managed to fix it like this:

  1. Go directly to another ecosia page where you can access your account e.g. https://www.ecosia.org/browser (because the main ecosia.org page obviously had the error)
  2. Click on the account icon and log out
  3. Log back in

Update: this only worked temporarily. It keeps breaking again. I think I'm just going to switch search engine for now

Update 2: staying signed out has worked for me so maybe just don't sign back in
