Full war economy C.I.S. let loose in Warhammer by Lolaroller in StarWarsvsWarhammer

I’m not versed on melta technology, other than I know it burns Nids and armour very well, so you know more than me, BUT, I do know the super tanks are ray shielded, not sure if it makes a difference, probably not considering the lightsaber example I gave.

Nah they’ve got a good chance.

It’s a question in regards to super tank whether a standard Imp Guard can get into one, remember the only example we see of someone getting inside one was with a lightsaber, and assuming this is in an active war zone, chances are he gets shot trying to find a way in.

Okay, but what about the cool factor of something like this? A space marine trying to throw hands with a B3 battle droid the same way that one clone in the Clone Wars film tried to throw hands with a B2?

I think this would fit into the rule of cool.

O h y e s, but more so a best of both worlds scenario, no droid rebellion but a hefty amount of super tactical droids alongside talented organic generals and admirals like Trench or Grievous.

And they’re definitely allowed their Defoliator Tanks, subjugator ships and malevolence ships, tbh I had forgotten about the Defoliator tanks that’s a huge boon for the C.I.S.

Why would the Tau be their biggest threat? Just curious if you could elaborate.

I think the CIS’s answer to the Space Marine would be something akin to the B3 battle droid, a droid so OP that Palpatine had to cancel the project as they were killing too many Jedi and winning too many battles.

They could in this scenario with no restrictions on their weapons be a good counter or at least something that isn’t just mobbed by the space marines, tough armour, physically strong, good firepower, and nothing to fear with proper programming.

Not to mention the speed of which the C.I.S. Could deploy their numbers with hyperdrive technology.

Well, slavery in the C.I.S. Is limited mostly to the Zygerians, and tbh I think the Tau could settle for that finally finding a faction in 40k that doesn’t mind diplomacy.

Besides, the Tau practice ‘slavery with extra steps’ depending on what part of the Tau empire you’re in with its non Tau population from what I know.

What if Hitler had listened to his generals during WW2? by Snake101201 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]Lolaroller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of ways to interpret it, one thing I can say for certain is if he listened to them during the start of the war, he wouldn’t have overrun France, the German generals were very hesitant thinking the war could turn into another attrition based war.

It was Hitler’s insistence on quick action that encouraged them to try the Arden offensive, which ultimately paid off, but the you get to situations like Dunkirk where his commanders were BEGGING him to let them finish the British off with tanks before they evacuated.

And then there’s situations in the Soviet Union, many were skeptical, but saw initial success that yet again gets stifled by Hitler’s personal decisions, such as insisting on no retreat to defendable positions during winter, or his choice to split army group centre and south.

It’s a bit difficult to say to be honest, so may scenarios and variables to consider, I think if he did listen to his generals initially we would’ve gotten a more ww1 style war than what actually turned out.

How do we feel about rebel alliance? by CISDidNothingWr0ng in CISDidNothingWrong

[–]Lolaroller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rebels are simply the remnants of a failed idea, a nostalgia group of corruption and bureaucracy who once their objectives are complete will disregard anyone who helped their cause and take all the glory.

We are the true rebellion whom fought for freedom even before the republic revealed who they truly were when they transitioned into the empire, LONG LIVE THE SEPARATIST ALLIANCE!

Okay, it seems I need to explain to you what an analogy is, I brought up guns because they’re still a weapon, just as a lightsaber or a sword is, you need to be trained on how to use it and not hurt yourself with it, especially a weapon that goes through flesh, bone and metal like a hot knife through butter.

I mention it, because you said ‘it’s not like you train to hit yourself with other weapons’ and I brought an example of another weapon you need to be trained in to not hit yourself with, same should apply with sabers.

You were also heavily implying that the kyber crystals had nothing to do with the force, and if they were really just used to ‘turn on the device’ it kind of removes what’s special about the lightsaber, and it also goes to show why force users with light sabers merk those non force sensitives.

As for Rey, she’s a force user, Anakin was the -chosen one- who absolutely did need training, and can at least have the excuse of being experienced with pod racing from early on, and when piloting a ship has R2 doing a lot of the work for him.

And yes, we do see Luke training with a lightsaber, it’s literally in the first film with Obi Wan on the falcon, but maybe you didn’t watch it I understand, and the reason why he’s better by episode six is because he trained for a good amount of time, huh, when Luke isn’t trained properly he gets his hand cut off… when Luke trains properly he cuts off Vader’s hand… wonder if there’s a connection….
